Hello, Pebble Knights! This update introduces a highly requested system that lets you choose an enhanced version of the Trait you are Ascending, allowing you to continue building around your existing Traits. We have also made several system and quality-of-life improvements and fixed various bugs. Check out the full details below.
\[Trait Enhancement System]
When Ascending a Trait, one of the three choices will now be an enhanced version of the Trait being Ascended!
We hope this prevents your build from being derailed by completely random choices while working toward a specific setup.
Previously, Ascending a Trait removed the existing Trait and required you to choose one of the offered Traits. You can now choose an enhanced version of the existing Trait and continue your intended build.
For example, when Ascending the 'Thorn' Trait, the choices will include 'Thorn Lv. 2,' which increases Thorn damage, along with two random Traits.
Enhanced versions improve the existing effect or grant additional stats.
A new '#Thorn' tag has been added.
\[Balance Adjustments]
The base power of the following Traits has been slightly reduced, but their enhanced versions can become even stronger than before.
Shakedown: Reduced the base activation chance.
Guard Up: Reduced the base Shield gained.
Rush: Reduced the base buff amount.
Warm Hug: Reduced the base healing amount.
Dictatorship: Reduced the base HP increase.
Blast Shot: Projectiles now have a chance to explode on impact.
Myriad Fists: Reduced the Attack Power of additional arms.
Pain Killer: The more damage you take, the higher the chance to spawn a Stat Potion. Potion size is determined by the Trait enhancement grade.
\[System & QoL Improvements]
The Hell Mold Legion now invades the Pebble Kingdom earlier. The first battle now begins on the night of DAY 0.
Players can no longer interact with the Bot Control Panel or the machine used to change the King during the game start countdown.
The Ready button will now be highlighted if it is not pressed for a certain amount of time.
To let players choose when to upgrade the Kingdom, bots will no longer deposit the final Ore and will instead throw it nearby.
Improved the Trait Ascension animation to make it clearer that the Trait being Ascended is removed and replaced by the selected Trait.
The Wiggle UI no longer appears when caught by chains from doors. The wiggle mechanic remains unchanged, and items can now be picked up while being dragged.
Standardized the sorting order between the Trait list under TAB and the Trait list displayed on the left side of the screen.
Bots are now disabled by default for new players, who will see a notification explaining that bots can be enabled in the lobby.
\[Bug Fixes]
Fixed an issue where the Secret Phrase disappeared while playing in a private room.
Fixed incorrect text appearing on the Ready button.
Fixed an issue where the Prayer Trait could occasionally be canceled while standing still.
Fixed various issues with the in-game tutorial guide.
