We’ve Just Updated to Version 1.0.6! Plus, a Little Post Launch Appreciation ❤️
This time, we’re back with a smaller but quite important patch for the future of Montabi.
We’ve implemented analytics so we can better understand how players experience the game, not only through qualitative feedback but also through quantitative data. This will help us make better balancing decisions based on both player feedback and actual gameplay data.
We’re also bringing back Classic Mode as an optional mode for players who prefer the original experience with a limited selection of starter Montabi.
Here’s the full detail of the changes:
Bug Fixed
Fixed FPS drops affecting enemy skill targeting in some cases.
Fixed Blazing Trap spawning after using Blaze Print and Molten Step on the taming screen.
Fixed Double Bloom Lash not attacking in some cases.
Fixed Petal Barrage and Petal Rain accidentally targeting pickups.
Improved the Card Collector achievement by adding checks for cards obtained from Supplies, Charms, and Equipment.
Fixed Megaphone resetting when placed on the field from Reserve.
Fixed some font sizes becoming too large across the UI when using other languages.
Analytics Implementation
To get a better understanding of quantitative data for future balancing:
Added a consent prompt during the early game.
Added a setting to turn data collection on or off.
Implemented analytics.
Classic Mode in Starter Montabi
Added an option for Classic Mode, where players can choose 1 out of 3 starter Montabi.
Post Launch Appreciation
It’s already been a month since we released Montabi to the world on August 6th, and we just want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts to all of you: our players, community members, creators, and supporters.
We know Montabi isn’t a massively big game, but we’ve reached 95% positive reviews because of you! Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave us a positive review. We’re incredibly grateful for all of your support❤️

New Montabi on Development and Montabi Universe
For our next patch, you can expect the updates to be a little slower as we’ll most likely be moving on to Version 1.1.
We’re also working on a new Montabi that we plan to release as part of a free update! It’s still a little rough around the edges, but we wanted to share this early because we hope it’s some good news for all of you.
Beyond Montabi, we’ll also continue building the Montabi Universe, starting with our spin off project, Working With Montabi, a desktop companion where Montabi can visit you while you work or study. The game will be released for free and will bring your favorite Montabi to your desktop. You can wishlist it now!
