What’s going on?

Welcome to week 2 of Season 5! ICYMI, the Season 5 blog has the details for this season (S.U.M.R. Camp, Underflips and Improved Footplants, updated Progression system, Player-created Spot Battles now available in the Throwdown menu, Block Parties, new brands, new music,  and more!) The team is working on the bugs you’ve reported, so keep sharing your bugs/issues so we can squash ‘em flat. 

On Friday, we fixed the fast-travel points at S.U.M.R. Camp. Updated Known Issues are below, and the team is working on the next hotfix, 0.32.2, as we speak. More details to come!

Part of The Weekly Grind will be dedicated to sharing the current Known Issues the team is tracking, any active deployments/fixes, and next steps.

Known Issues

• Some Players are unable to export in MP4 Format.

  • Workaround PC ONLY: Using WebM format when exporting works.

  • Workaround on Xbox: Go to your Xbox Dashboard> Settings> Captures. Check that the setting says "Captures by Me and Games," not just "Captures by Me."

• Changing the graphics preset doesn’t update the settings shown at the bottom of the Graphics screen as it should.

• Tailslides and Noseslides are not correctly detected when approaching a ledge from its end.

• Wallride detection often causes the skater to flip unnaturally.

• The Smith-to-Tailslide task often fails to register when performed correctly.

• Quick Ollie/Nollie into No-Foot Grab causes leg clipping with the board.

• Some flip trick animations appear different in the Replay Editor when done by other skaters.

• Some specific landing animations make the skater's upper body snap upright immediately.

• Game intermittently fails to enter Quick Drop mode from the radial menu

  • Workaround: Hold the D-Pad Left to enter Quick Drop mode.

• Switch or nollie 360 inward heelflip rotates the skater if PS5 power saving is enabled.

  • Workaround: Disable Power Saver for skate.

• Skater spawns off-board, and camera tracking freezes when resetting the Session Marker set at a ledge in drop-in position.

• Skater accelerates on a specific circular brick planter after landing a grind or slide trick.

• Rarely the title crashes when you select San Vansterdam at the Ferry Terminal in SUMR Camp. 

• Mini stutters are present while traversing the map on Xbox One. 

• skate.Pass shortcut does not work when opening the Bounties menu from the D-Pad. 

• The parental restriction on console communication doesn't affect in-game settings or functionality. 

• When the field of view is set above 90, LOD causes aggressive texture changes each time the skater switches from onboard to offboard. 

• Gen 4 console users can get stuck on loading screens, while Gen 5 console and PC users frequently use co-op travels. 

• The prompt received after being kicked states that users don't have access to San Vansterdam, rather than the location they attempted to enter without access. 

• Block Party UI fails to appear when spawning inside an active Block Party. 

• Borderless full-screen mode accidentally uses the last resolution set by the Full Screen resolution setting. 

• Skater performs a double revert when attempting to perform a single revert at the apex of a ramp.

• PS5 crashes when a headset is plugged into the controller with 3D audio enabled

  • Developer’s Note: If you have either your TV Spatial/3D audio enabled or your headphones Spatial/3D audio enabled, don’t change the audio device while the game is running, and leave the TV Spatial/3D audio Spatial setting at the same value.

• Basic washed Skinny Jeans have clipping issues in the legs.

• Bounties sometimes appear blank, showing a white box instead of text.

• Challenge intro and outro cinematics fail to play, displaying a black screen or a static fixed camera angle.

• The Endless Bounties section is empty after the daily rollover.

• Choosing a quick drop item to place shades/disables it, making it unable to be modified.

  • Workaround: Disable cross-play.

• An unspecified error occurred when trying to reroll endless bounties twice in a row without leaving the menu.

• Various issues with progressing Challenge-based Crew Bounties.
