Hey Witches
We're excited to share our newly updated Early Access Roadmap!
This updated roadmap reflects a more detailed look at what's to come and how, based on your community input, where we are prioritising content. We know a lot of you will be excited to see that salvaging is on the way, a Staff weapon type is coming, and there's plenty more building, questing, and familiar content in the pipeline.
Each week in Discord we'll be sharing a behind the scenes look at something we're working on. Then, at the end of each month we'll do a round up of everything and bring it over to Steam. This way you'll be able to follow along as we progress towards each update.
Oh and by the way, our Discord members have access to our experimental branch where you can test features earlier than everyone else! This does mean they at risk of more bugs too...
Now, let's dive into the roadmap:
HAUNTED MAGICK
Coming within the next few weeks, before Halloween
Inventory sorting: a one-click button (in your inventory and in chests) that sorts items by rarity and other criteria.
2 new player heads: older-looking witch/wizard options, available when creating a new character, for now. A future "magical mirror" feature may let you change appearance mid-game.
Gothic building set: 80+ new pieces for big, dark castles or haunted cathedrals, unlocked via new Luminaries.
Sanguine outfit set: a two-piece hat-and-outfit combo with vampiric vibes that will be craftable. Plus a unique version hidden somewhere in the world.
40+ new building decorations: paintings, garden trellises, topiary, and more.
Level cap raised from 41 to 45: with any earned XP applying automatically on login.
New familiars: Enmire (a large, spirit-moose-inspired familiar) and Pumpaling (a pumpkin-themed member of the "-ling" family alongside Rocklings, Charlings, and Shardlings), with an explosive ability and two ways to acquire it.

DORMANT POWERS
Aiming for a 2026 release
Salvaging: our #1 most-requested Feature Upvote item. Break down unwanted gear into resources, with a chance at rarer materials mixed in with the predictable ones.
Scrappy: our first fully craftable familiar, built from gathered and salvaged materials. There are 6 versions, one per element, each crafted at a random rarity.
Weapon Crafting 2.0: a full rework. Craft a weapon base (with multiple tiers), then freely slot in Spell Gems. These include a primary attack gem and an Invoke (special attack) gem, which can be swapped and leveled up independently.
Sigils add a further layer, modifying how a Spell Gem behaves (e.g. turning a single projectile into two).
Improved familiar control: the return (and improvement) of the Next Fest demo's familiar behavior wheel (aggressive/passive/defensive), plus a smoother way to switch between familiars, alongside possible player emotes and a familiar-related animation, though the later two may not make it into this update.

THE FROZEN TUNDRA
Aiming for a 2026 release
Story: Act III begins. To avoid spoilers in this post we won’t explain the story here. You can check out the video at 16:38 for more info, but in short the race is on to find the 5th of 6 Witchspire Keys in this new, snowy biome.
Beastiary: a highly-requested collection log, tracking every familiar you've bonded with, by rarity, plus a hint of ones you've spotted but not yet caught.
Quest System 2.0: a ground-up technical overhaul enabling new quest types (repeatable quests, side quests) and a proper quest log menu.
New familiars: not detailed yet, but several are in development. We will reveal more in future posts don’t worry.
Staffs: a brand new third primary weapon type, joining Wands (one-handed ranged) and Spellblades (one-handed melee). We think these deserve their own break down post, so more on these soon.

THE FINAL KEY
Planned for a 2027 release
Story: Act III concludes, and you'll be able to reach the Witchspire with the final key.
New endgame content: ideas being explored include repeatable dungeons and escalating combat challenges. This will be shaped by feedback from the updates coming this year.
Building improvements: possible fixes to things like piece-snapping issues, plus we’re exploring moving building-piece unlocks out of the Luminaries tree entirely. This is to address your frustrations on not having enough points to get everything you want in the tree.
More to be announced: there were a couple more points on this update but we decided to remove them for now as we don’t want to over promise. However, as and when we do have more to add we will let you know.
THRONE OF CORRUPTION
Planned for a 2027 release, but we are yet not ready to share what will be in this one.

We're also continuing to explore other frequently-requested ideas outside the roadmap, including ways to physically display your familiars around your base (already prototyped!) rather than leaving them in a chest.
As always, the roadmap will keep evolving with your feedback. The Feature Upvote board and Bug board remain the best ways to help us prioritise, alongside our Discord and the Steam Forums.
Thank you for your excitement and passion. This community never ceases to amaze us and we're truly grateful to have you along for the ride on this one.
