Hello Everyone!
We’re updating the beta branch to the 0.12.1 Patch, which contains fixes for several of the issues you’ve been encountering since the beta branch released, including several improvements to Cargo Protection Items, easier access to fishing equipment and bug fixes for animations on the wildlife you’ll be finding!
As always, we want to thank everyone for all the reports we’ve received already, please do keep sending them to us, either on Steam in our Discussion threads, on Discord in our dedicated channels, or in game with the F1 Bug Report Tool.
Now, without any more talking, let’s jump into this update’s patch notes:
Improvements:
Progression & Balancing
Cargo protection items now unlock as you progress, instead of being available from the very start.
Fishing rods and baits now appear at traders at the same courier ranks at which they unlock for crafting.
UI
Cargo traits are now color-coded in the cargo HUD and in item tooltips.
Animation
Polished the Offer Thanks prayer animation.
Bug Fixes:
Corruption
The corruption tutorial now reliably corrupts the rift your mission marker points to.
Spirits can now be damaged by other arrow types, not only by spirit repellent arrows.
Animals & Hunting
Fixed deer and rabbits sliding across the ground instead of playing their running animation, and wolves and bears getting stuck in the wrong movement state.
Loot gathered from hunted animals now fills in the matching silhouettes in the Animal Ledger.
Removed a bear hunting ground that sat too close to the Alaqai waystation, where bears could end up loitering around the outpost.
Horses
Fixed the "give stamina item" option in the horse care menu always being greyed out, even with stamina items in your bags.
Fixed the tethering post near Herder Lablakha not working.
Fixed horses and items added to a merchant's stock after your save was created never showing up there — Breton horses are available from merchants in older saves again.
Missions & World
Fixed cargo from Lost Cargo missions staying in your inventory after you had delivered it.
Fixed sleeping in certain village beds not saving the game.
Fixed Baytegin's and Hunter Yesugun's names and map markers being swapped.
Inventory & UI
Fixed the game locking up when rearranging cargo left your horse unbalanced — the tutorial prompt opened behind the inventory where it could not be closed.
Fixed crafting recipes showing "INVALID" as the source for pelts, fish, and crafted or corruption materials.
Fixed fishing sometimes leaving your other throwable items unselectable.
Fixed the "Field of View on Foot" accessibility setting having no effect.
Known Issues:
The Animal Ledger shows the wrong resources for several animals — what you actually get from hunting them can differ from what the ledger lists.
Animals can run into walls and cliffsides instead of finding their way around them, and may keep running through the air after leaving a ledge.
The quick shortcut for giving your horse an item does not work while you are sitting on it — on foot it works as usual. Either way, you can still give your horse items from your inventory.
You cannot pause the game while the fishing minigame is running.
In Peaceful Mode, shamans stop stocking corruption items from Courier Rank 7 onwards, which also puts the Expert Fishing Rod out of reach there.
