Patch v1.3.9 (A big one)
Read the original on Steam ↗I hope you have all been enjoying your weekend! I've been busy working on this latest update, and there are quite a lot of changes and additions to share.
I've been getting a lot of good feedback (positive and negative, all is good and helpful) which is always a plus. I always strive to use what I hear from all of you and apply it to the latest patch. Many of you left some very helpful comments in the last weekly update in regards to a possible save system (thank you to those who did) and I've decided to add a new feature that can be purchased in Hank's store called "Save Wafers" that can be used between 11AM and 1PM to save for a once a day use. Hopefully this can help some players who were struggling with having to restart the day and those who felt that the overall system was merciless.
In addition to this, I've also added the following:
-Added "Click here for help" arrow notification to tell player to click on mushroom to open help instructions.
-A time energy drain pause when ESC menu is up (Added "PAUSED and eyes to clock")
-Rearranged boxes in Alphabet Assembly for ease of play
-Cut pausing post-bedroom face linger time in half
-Added collision fix to Ending field Minigame + ENDING GAME notification to ESC key
-Added Save Wafer
-Added music to a certain secret minigame
-Added Hank Spitball (This was super important, I know you all have been waiting for this one. You can thank me later).
-Made Letter Placement hitbox larger (Fingers Crossed)
-Made Letter Movement events cleaner (No more jumbling and getting stuck on edges).
-Added "Room Transition" value to prevent end of day bugs
As usual, if this update does more harm than good, you can expect me to rollback to the most stable version (which, as of writing this, is v1.3.8).
I know I sound like a broken record at times, but the love I get from the fans of this game (and the fact that there are even fans at all) really makes me smile. I mean it really means the world to me. The awesome fan art, video edits, Youtube playthroughs, kind comments, it's all so wonderful.
I just want to thank you guys for all of the support this past month and a half. As always, I intend on being as transparent as possible about what is going on behind the scenes. I feel I owe it to the fans. I'm not going anywhere, and although I might not have a patch every week, I will do everything I can to provide a weekly check-in.
I try to work on this game as much as I possibly can to provide the best experience possible, and for those who have stuck around for Dr. Hoot, my heart goes out to you.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Until next time,
BitWizard
