Generals,

Season 3, “Era of the Shattered Seas,” is currently underway, while development of Season 4 content has also begun.

At the same time, early planning for Season 5 is now underway.

As we continue to iterate on each season, we have also been asking ourselves:

As players become increasingly familiar with the existing survival, progression, and Guild competition systems, what new changes can the next stage of Myth of Empires: Throne bring?

For Season 5, we want to introduce more variables into long-term conflicts.

The world will change. The situation will change. And players’ choices will change along with them.

In this Dev Log, we would like to share an early look at some of the directions we are currently exploring for Season 5. Please note that the content below represents our preliminary plans for Season 5 and may continue to be adjusted and refined as development progresses. Please refer to the final release for confirmed content.

What Are We Exploring for Season 5?

A Brand-New Corrosion Survival Mode

For Season 5, we are exploring a brand-new Corrosion Survival Mode centered around the concept of “Corruption,” allowing the seasonal world to undergo more changes as the conflict progresses.

As the season advances, familiar survival environments may gradually transform, bringing new threats to exploration. Players will need to adapt their survival and development strategies to an ever-changing environment, ensuring that long-term conflicts no longer follow the same predictable rhythm from beginning to end.

New Profession and Exclusive Skills

A new profession and its exclusive skills will further expand character progression and combat options.

By introducing a new progression path beyond the existing profession system, we hope to provide more choices for players with different playstyles while creating greater flexibility in character builds and combat strategies.

Individual Points Leaderboard

In addition to competition between Guilds, we also plan to introduce an Individual Points Leaderboard in Season 5.

Throughout a long-term season, individual performance will have clearer goals to pursue. Whether players choose to participate in Guild competition or focus on personal challenges, there will be meaningful objectives worth working toward.

Mutated Bosses

We also plan to introduce Mutated Bosses in Season 5, bringing new challenges to the seasonal world.

As the world changes over the course of the season, the challenges players face will no longer be limited to wars between Guilds. New threats may create new competition over resources, while in certain situations they may even encourage rival players to temporarily cooperate—before eventually returning to competition.

As a result, the boundaries between PVE and PVP may become increasingly dynamic.

New Cosmetic Styles

Season 5 is planned to introduce several sets of skins featuring brand-new visual styles, further expanding character customization options.

Blessing Supports Multiple Saved Presets

The existing Blessing system will also be further optimized to support saving multiple presets, allowing players to switch between different configurations more flexibly depending on their needs.

More Rule Adjustments and Optimizations

In addition to the content above, Season 5 will introduce further adjustments and optimizations to battlefield rules, Guild competition, and other systems based on actual seasonal gameplay experience.

Season 5 Is About More Than Just “More Content”

Rather than simply adding more gameplay and content, what we truly hope to change with Season 5 is how players experience a long-term season.

The Environment Will Change, and So Will the Way You Survive

As the season progresses, players will no longer face only familiar maps, resources, and enemies. Instead, they will need to adapt to an evolving survival environment and new challenges.

More Choices

At different stages of the season, changing environments and circumstances will give players more options. They may choose to explore, develop, or compete for resources, while adapting their survival strategies based on the strength of their Guild and the evolving state of the conflict.

More Complex Strategic Dynamics

As new challenges and resources enter the battlefield, previously clear lines between friend and foe may begin to shift. Temporary alliances, competition over resources, and conflicts between Guilds could all become variables that influence the course of the season.

Ultimately, Season 5 is not simply about adding more content. We want long-term conflicts to feature more meaningful changes: the environment changes, the battlefield changes, and every choice players make may influence what happens next.

Early Planning for Season 5 Is Underway

Development planning for Season 5 has already begun. We are currently working on the early design of seasonal content, gameplay directions, and system optimizations, while continuing to explore and validate the ideas introduced in this Dev Log.

As development progresses, specific gameplay features and rules will continue to be refined based on actual gameplay experience. We will also share more Dev Logs in the future to reveal confirmed content and show how these early plans gradually take shape as actual in-game experiences.

Season 3 is underway. Season 4 is in development. And Season 5 is already moving forward.

Thank you to every General who has continued to follow, play, and share feedback with us about Myth of Empires: Throne.

A new season still lies ahead, and new stories are still waiting to be written.

Stay tuned.
