Hello, Pebble Knights! This update improves how Knight Traits are upgraded and refines the Angel & Devil system. We also optimized projectiles and summons to reduce lag, adjusted the difficulty balance, and fixed several bugs. Check out the full details below.
\[Knight Trait Ascension Improvements!]
When a Knight acquires three copies of the same Trait, it will immediately Ascend, and you can choose the Trait you want.
Since Ascension requires consuming three copies of the same Trait, at least one option that grants +2 Ascension levels is guaranteed to appear.
Thank you to all the Knights who waited patiently for this long-requested feature. We carefully review all your feedback, but as a small development team, it may take us some time to implement certain requests. We are also working on additional improvements to Trait progression, so please stay tuned.
\[Trait Changes]
The 'Cheers' Trait now drops a potion when you revive yourself as well as when you revive another player.
The 'Grave Gulp' Trait now applies its buff to both players when you revive yourself as well.
The 'Haste' Trait has been renamed 'Flurry.'
Adjusted the effect displayed when struck by lightning.
Improved the description of the 'Boom Decoy' Trait.
\[Angel & Devil System Changes]
Some Archangel buffs now appear exclusively in Devil Rooms.
Some Angel buffs have been upgraded to Archangel buffs. These upgraded buffs now have a chance to lose their day limit and become permanent.
Added new visual effects and adjusted existing ones.
\[Dinner Mode]
The corresponding challenge icon is now displayed when selecting a challenge in Dinner Mode.
\[Optimization]
Optimized projectiles to reduce lag.
Optimized summons to reduce lag.
Further improved bot evasion logic.
\[Balance Adjustments]
Difficulty
Adjusted the difficulty of Lunch Mode to make it easier to clear and progress to Dinner Mode.
Adjusted difficulty scaling based on the number of players to make Pebble Knights more enjoyable with smaller parties.
Bosses
Reduced the maximum HP of 'Skeleton Fungus Returns.'
In single-player mode, only up to two of Pennydice's dice will now appear.
\[Bug Fixes]
Fixed an issue where looping sounds from gauge-operated doors, Angel Statues, and other objects continued playing while the game was paused.
Fixed an issue where attack effects were not displayed when using 'Super Bolt' and 'Lightning Storm' together.
Fixed an issue where players could occasionally move while carrying a Potion Friend.
Fixed an issue where the 'Broad Shoulders' and 'Narrow Shoulders' Traits could activate while being pulled by a chain.
Fixed an issue where projectiles could not hit the chains in Ascension Chest Rooms.
Fixed an issue where the King could get stuck behind a door in Surface Treasure Rooms.
Fixed an issue where the Merchant could occasionally be hidden behind a pillar.
Fixed an issue where some tags were obscured in the Collection.
Fixed an issue where the incorrect difficulty was displayed in the version information at the top left of the screen.
Added dedicated Russian and Ukrainian fonts to fix certain text rendering issues.
