Hey Runners! Hope you guys are doing well.
Today's update is one of our biggest presentation and stability milestones yet! First off, we are introducing fully cinematic Cutscene Sequences for both the start and successful conclusion of every run, alongside a brand-new Emotes System so you can dance, gesture, or fake your death with your squad!
PATCH NOTES
Bugs and reports that were addressed in this patch:
Cutscene System: Implemented cinematic sequences for both the beginning of a run and the successful escape sequence at the end of a match.
Emotes System: Press B to open the new Emote Wheel and express yourself!
Added damaged visual materials to worn-out spark plugs inside the engine bay.
Implemented a heartbeat audio loop when your character reaches Low Health.
Implemented unique Ground Impact Sounds for dropping/throwing items (Med Kit, Bandage, Energy Drink, Health Pills, Cassette, VHS Tape, Apex Documents, Newspaper, Pocket Radar, Granola Bar, Umbrella, and Player Bodies).
Improved reliability and performance for players on AMD GPUs.
Updated and cleaned up the Company Archives user interface.
Updated hedge collision bounds across the map to be significantly more accurate.
Added audio fade-out/fade-in transitions when entering and exiting gameplay levels.
Fixed an issue where launching the game in Administrator Mode would leave the player disconnected from Steam.
Fixed the bug and now the game can be played completely offline, without an internet connection, of course, alone.
Fixed the name displayed on offline, name will display as "APEX Employee #0000 (you)" in all menus.
Fixed a game crash that occurred if the van attempted to spawn in an invalid location.
Fixed a bug where players would briefly spawn outside of the van before being teleported inside.
Fixed the van overlapping with level environment assets upon spawning.
Fixed an issue where the van door was not automatically closing at the end of a match.
Fixed an issue where the driver could stand up from the driver's seat after initiating the escape sequence.
Fixed an issue where the Van Status panel displayed no information when sitting down after the van had already started.
Fixed an endless body-correction loop after a tornado toss, the system now stops tracking instead of teleporting your body forever once a landing spot repeats.
Fixed items flying far away when a player is shocked or struck by lightning, forced drops no longer launch items with high velocity, and dropped gear briefly ignores player collision so ragdolls won't eject them.
Fixed an issue where dying while recovering from a stun ragdoll would prevent the character from entering the proper death ragdoll state.
Fixed visual mesh overlapping on certain skins around the wrists.
Deleted floating fence assets found around the map floorplan.
KNOWN ISSUES
These are some of the main issues that we are aware of and are currently being worked on:
Connection issues to servers or invitation issues.
Performance issues on specific menus, when highlighting items, or when Alt + Tabbed out.
Clients not being able to see skins under specifics circumstances.
Some underground clipping happening when caught by a tornado.
Tornados having unusual colors sometimes.
