In the upcoming major update, the battlefield will once again become even more immersive. We've refined the aftermath of hits and explosions, added new sound effects and improved the physics - from ejected shell casings to bodies caught in a blast wave.
A major blow to the infantry
Hits from large-caliber weapons will look significantly more devastating and may even result in heads being blown apart. There will be a new sound effect when limbs are torn off and the blood will now look more natural on uniforms, without a sharp border separating the stained and clean fabric. Explosions from artillery and tank shells will also send soldiers' bodies flying.
Additionally, on high graphics settings, you'll be able to enable improved shell casing physics: spent casing will behave realistically and bounce off surfaces naturally.
Vehicles and aircraft
The update will have additional effects for them too. Bullets and shells will be able to ricochet off the wrecks of destroyed vehicles, and in case of aircraft flying at high angles of attack, their wingtip vortices will become visible.
