Hello everyone!
We’ve been a bit quiet, but the whole team has been laser-focused on fixing as many bugs and issues as possible, many of which were reported by you. Thanks, and keep them coming!
Today’s patch contains a ton of bug fixes we wanted to get into your hands ASAP while we continue work on the Build Crafting/Emblems/Metaprogression rework we talked about in the previous announcement, as well as the upcoming Beta Branch.
Without further ado, here’s the entire changelog:
Multiplayer
- Improved Epic Online Services (EOS) connection handling, including fixes for stale connections.
- Added detection and clearer player-facing error messages for several common multiplayer issues.
- Fixed multiple multiplayer healing issues.
- Fixed Heartening Fighter having a smaller effect radius than intended.
- Fixed Heartening Fighter and Blood Communion not triggering while at full Health.
- Fixed an issue where Host and Client save data could become mixed together on Clients.
- Players can no longer accidentally Revive or Give Up while typing in chat.
- Fixed Seraphic Blade sometimes failing to unlock in multiplayer.
- Seraphic Blade now unlocks immediately after collecting all of its pieces, without requiring the level to be completed.
- Fixed players being able to obtain certain Seraphic Blade pieces in multiplayer before completing the game once with Wallace.
- Fixed Trials sometimes unlocking in multiplayer before the selected Hero was able to attempt them.
- Fixed Harold the Dragon sometimes becoming unkillable for certain clients in multiplayer.
- Fixed 3D sounds sometimes not being audible while Spectating.
- Added a 1-second delay after death before the dead player can Give Up.
Gameplay
- Fixed an issue where a reward could be lost if a reward screen was still open when a level ended. The pending reward will now be presented after collecting the level reward.
- Adjusted the attacks variations odds and counters frequency of The Black Shield.
- Enemy Status damage multipliers no longer scale aggressively between Acts and now use the same multiplier throughout all three Acts.
- The Companion x3 Barracks upgrade now only requires Companion x2, rather than also requiring an upgrade from the previous row.
- The item requested by H.W. in a barrel (item buyer interactible) is now completely random.
- The amount offered by H.W. in a barrel (item buyer interactible) now varies based on the item’s rarity and the current Act.
- The Poison Trail Enemy Captain modifier no longer damages Allies.
- Giant II’s jump-back counter landing no longer deals damage.
- Elite enemies now reconsider their targets more frequently and are more likely to attack players dealing high amounts of damage to them.
- Fixed Brienne’s Combo 3 with the Bladed Vambrace not triggering Emblem Finisher effects.
- Prevented Multi-Fuse Bomb from triggering itself with its own bombs.
- Fixed Healing Fountains not benefiting from Healing Power gained during the same battle.
- Fixed destroying one Beacon incorrectly removing its effect while another identical Beacon was still active.
- Fixed Wilderness’ Wisdom and Delicate Dyes continuing to generate Special Charge while a Morale Beacon was active.
- Added a fallback when generating Ally Emblem rewards. If no valid unit from the intended family can receive the Emblem, another eligible unit can now be selected instead of offering no reward.
- The Heart of Wood Charm now visually disappears after being consumed to revive the player.
- Fixed Oak Barrels sometimes granting the wrong number of Emblem rerolls.
- Fixed Ally Archers sometimes failing to snap correctly to the ground during an Archer Ally Command.
- Fixed Bomber bombs failing to explode or deal damage if the Bomber was killed before beginning its attack.
- Fixed an edge case where The Cook’s Special Attack could lose its target.
Shops & Economy
- Fixed shops containing items that became impossible to purchase when their discount was too high.
- Fixed Travelling Merchant shop discounts displaying an incorrect discounted value.
Progression, Saves & Codex
- Fixed Castle Records sometimes showing already unlocked Charms as locked.
- Boss projectiles now correctly count as Ranged Damage for relevant unlocks and Achievements.
- Fixed a Companion not appearing correctly in the Codex.
- Fixed a save timing issue at the end of a Campaign that could cause game statistics to be saved incorrectly.
- Fixed a situation where starting a first Campaign with Brienne under specific progression conditions could result in an incompletable Ally Command tutorial.
- Fixed the ordering of the Alchemist and Lightweaver Block and Dash entries in the Codex.
Objectives & Levels
- Fixed some objectives spawning outside the playable area in Glenfinnan Castle.
- Fixed various objective placement issues across gameplay scenes in Acts 1, 2, and 3.
- Fixed a collision issue with Defiled Heirloom.
- Fixed timed objective hazards sometimes spawning all of their objectives immediately when a level began.
- Fixed Hunt Captain objectives sometimes spawning Captains without their Minimap indicators.
- Various collision, art, and Castle area improvements.
UI & Localization
- Fixed the Reset button in Controller Rebinding incorrectly setting all toggles to Off instead of restoring their proper default values.
- Fixed hold-to-confirm buttons, such as Leave Battlefield, sometimes appearing invisible or partially transparent.
- Fixed Invincible status visuals not disappearing immediately after the status expired.
- Updated several Weapon descriptions.
- Updated Character Shop item descriptions.
- Updated descriptions for the Lucky & Burning Block and Explosive & Linked Heavy Emblems.
- Fixed incorrect text wrapping on the Apply button in Lobby Settings in some languages.
- Fixed several broken translations throughout the Village and gameplay.
- Fixed a localization parsing issue that could cause some item unlock descriptions to be cut off.
- Fixed the localization of Marriott’s Whetstone quest item.
- Added the missing left quotation mark to the Latin font.
- Added the proper Russian translation for the Sacred Heart Charm.
- Fixed the CoinCount placeholder appearing in the Alluring Depths map event in German and Russian.
- Increased the resolution of the Shout comic-book VFX texture.
Audio & Visuals
- Fixed an incorrect audio event call for Dragon Geyser attacks.
- Fixed 3D positional audio while Spectating.
- Updated Act 3 fodder textures.
- Further optimized grass.
