Here is the development update from my partner and me for August 31-September 6.
Hakurei Empire: Core Faction Adjustments Complete
The Hakurei Empire's core faction adjustments are complete and are now being tested on the Beta branch!
This time, we simplified the raiding mechanic to make strategic choices more intuitive and combat more satisfying. The new river system also gives Dragon Ships more room to shine on land-heavy maps. Regular units can move quickly along rivers, and Hafgufa has received a buff as well.
We are still adjusting Hakurei's Heroes. Adjustments to the other factions, including the Moriya and Hourai Empires, will continue after the Hakurei Hero adjustments are complete. Please give us a little more time.
Rivers: Civilization Is a Gift of Rivers
The benefits of rivers extend beyond the Hakurei Empire. The new system adds more variety to the map's geography, provides additional connections for every empire, and can bring extra income to Markets.
There is no need to worry about rivers making the game more complicated, either: they add no extra combat mechanics or movement effects, except for the Hakurei Empire.
Natural Wonders: The First Seven Sights Arrive
We have also added the Natural Wonder system! The first seven are Mount Everest, Zhangjiajie, the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef, the Galapagos Islands, Iguazu Falls, and Uluru.
Each has a beautifully crafted appearance and distinctive special effects. We hope discovering these sights as you explore the map brings a delightful surprise and sparks new ideas for developing your empire!
Testing Progress and Release Plans
With so much new content in this update, the Hakurei core faction adjustments, rivers, and Natural Wonders are still being tested in Beta. We expect to bring them all to the stable version next week!

Myouren Empire: Two New Hero Designs Revealed
The Myouren Empire is still in development and testing. This time, we are revealing the designs of two new Heroes: the adorable yet imposing tiger and mouse, Shou Toramaru and Nazrin!
