Hello, Salty Hounds players!
In this update, we've greatly increased the frequency of Special Requests and sped up their progression so you can enjoy the story at a smoother pace. We've also made gamepad controls more convenient and carefully polished a variety of UI elements and immersive details throughout the game.
🛠️ Gameplay Flow and Balance Improvements
Special Requests and Aquarium Quests Overhauled: The chances of receiving a 'Special Request' or your selected 'Focus Target' during weekly work have been greatly increased. We've also raised the progress rewards for Aquarium Requests, significantly reducing the time needed to complete them, and improved the completion-reporting flow.
Weekday Fast-Forward and Safeguards Improved: We've made the '4× Weekday Fast-Forward (hold button)' feature introduced in the previous update feel smoother to control, with more seamless screen transitions. Its safeguard now also stops fast-forward more reliably when an important event begins, so you won't miss any dialogue.
Weekly Focus Preview: Before planning each Sunday's schedule, a new briefing screen lets you see your current work focus and person of interest at a glance.
Continuous Conversations (Sohee): After finishing a conversation with Sohee outside the hospital, you'll now return to the selection menu so you can keep talking without initiating another interaction each time.
Bedtime Prompt Timing: The bedtime To-Do no longer appears on the morning of the first day and will now be introduced naturally from 9 PM onward.
✨ CG Gallery Viewing Improvements
When viewing unlocked illustrations (CGs) in the gallery, you can now click the image to cycle through alternate versions with different expressions and presentation details.
🎮️ UI and Controller Improvements
Gamepad Quick Selection: In all Yes/No confirmation windows, including Save and Load prompts, you can now choose instantly with the gamepad's A button (Yes) or B button (No), without using the directional controls.
Clearer To-Do Progress: To-Do items with specific goals, such as gaining ideas over coffee at the office, now display your current progress clearly (for example, Current/30).
Auto-Expanding Character Profiles: When profile information such as Likes, Dislikes, or Weekend Schedule runs long, the field now expands automatically so the full text remains visible.
More Stable Menu and Dialogue Controls: Scrolling through empty slots in the save list is now smoother, and focus handling has been improved to prevent the To-Do list from responding to inputs during dialogue.
✨ Bug Fixes and Polish
Movie Date Popcorn: Fixed an issue where one Popcorn was not properly consumed from your inventory after a movie date.
Canceling Date Exit: Fixed an issue where the confirmation window could repeatedly appear after canceling the option to leave near the boundary of a date location.
Person of Interest Display: Fixed an issue where the person of interest selected on the first computer in the office did not appear in the current-status briefing.
SMS Contact Name: Fixed an issue in the 'Client's Tie Pin' event where Taemin's name appeared when the player sent a message to Junho.
