This patch turns down the camera queasiness for good, cleans up some overdue Sunken Field and item naming, and knocks out a good pile of multiplayer stability issues. Full rundown below.
Gameplay & Balance
- Added Camera Comfort settings: a noise slider to tone down the gameplay camera's wobble, and a rotation lock for anyone who wants the view held dead still. (Community Shoutout: FatalExodusX)
- Sunken Field incantations and items now run on percentage-based stats, with several other Sunken Field items adjusted to match.
- Renamed for clarity: Crit Damage Factor is now Crit Damage, and Life Steal Trigger Chance is now Life Steal Chance.
- Adjusted Life Steal Chance across several items, with related buffs added elsewhere.
- Ashmaker's flame trails now burn out faster instead of lingering into later levels. (Community Shoutout: GoodOlRusty)
- Bosses no longer grow in size when struck by Enlarge, fixing an issue where Mother Hydra could get stuck and stop engaging. (Community Shoutout: Sharkinbear)
- Sealed off a gap that let enemies and players slip through walls and geometry that should have blocked them. (Community Shoutout: GoodOlRusty)
- Adjusted encounter trigger zones so they can no longer be skirted around, and patched a hole in Mother Hydra's hallway.
- The Eldritch Incantations are hiding a little more forbidden knowledge of their own now, until you've earned the right to see it.
UI & Incantations
- Fixed Eldritch Incantations not being marked as discovered when chosen, and fixed the discovery counter on the source card not updating.
- Added localization for Dice Curse names and descriptions.
- Fixed a missing translation on Sunken Field's stat display in the journal. (Community Shoutout: MrWhitefolks)
- Fixed an oversized font on the Main Menu's opt-in back button.
- The book can now be closed with tap or select while it's open.
- Added a safeguard against rapidly spamming the book UI, which could break other interface elements.
- Fixed the item, incantation, and gameplay menus not force-closing properly on game state changes, resolving the majority of lingering UI bugs.
- Added a verification step when loading incantations from older run saves, so invalid entries no longer cause issues.
Multiplayer & Stability
- Fixed fire-based damage effects only being visible to the host. They now spawn correctly for every client. (Community Shoutout: Pheosics)
- Fixed a race condition where player renderers could update before the network variable was ready at the start of a new run.
- Added a safeguard against a rare crash when an enemy without a Rigidbody was knocked back.
- Fixed spawn calls for networked objects not reliably reaching every client.
- Fixed gold removal requests failing for non-host clients.
- Fixed curses not cleaning up correctly on the client side.
- Fixed an incorrect gold amount being returned when a sacrifice reward was rejected.
- Corrected stamina drain to use delta time while sprinting, so it no longer behaves differently across frame rates.
- Speed and dodge-stamina modifiers now behave more consistently, and can no longer push a stat below zero.
Visuals
- Replaced graphic for the downed state. This game no longer breaks the Geneva Convention (No red crosses).
