We are still working on our big update, packed with content, improvements and a whole lot of things you’ve been asking for. Today, we would like to show you another exciting sneak peek at our work.
New Arcanist Starting Area
The starting island is getting a new structure dedicated to Arcanist, to make their early experience more intuitive.
A New Weapon
Meet the Claws.
They work similarly to daggers, but come with a completely different look, giving you another option for fast, close-range combat.
New Wildlife
The world is getting some new residents! Some of them are still a secret, but what we can tell you right now is that parrots and vultures are coming to the game.
Vultures are planned to be aggressive, although their behavior is still being worked on, so don’t expect them to immediately try to eat you. Probably.
Finally… Shield Stands!
This one comes directly from the community.
You’ll soon be able to display your shields on Tool Stands.
Because keeping your favorite shield hidden in a chest is simply not good enough.
A More Rewarding Level-Up
We’re also changing what happens when you level up.
In the upcoming update, leveling up will instantly restore your HP and Stamina to full.
Hit a new level? Get straight back into the action.
Better Plant Interaction
We’re reworking how plants are picked up from pots.
You’ll no longer accidentally pick up a plant before it’s fully grown, making it much easier to leave your crops alone and let them do their thing.
New Chests & Trophies
You asked for more ways to collect and show off your adventures, so we’re adding:
- New Rotten Wood chests
- A ton of new monster trophies
- New achievements
We’re not revealing the full achievement list just yet. You’ll have to discover some of them for yourself.
And A LOT More
There are plenty of smaller improvements coming alongside the bigger features:
- Updated item icons to match the new visual direction
- Improved item placement, including fixes for objects being placed backwards
- Improved collisions across many items
- Better protection against losing items and placed objects on ships during world conversion
- Updated enemy naming
- Enemy difficulty will now be displayed directly in the enemy window instead of being communicated through enemy titles
