Hello, Pebble Knights! This update focuses on improving the early game experience to help new Knights get the hang of the game. We've added a new on-screen Beginner Guide and improved gamepad controls. We've also improved resolution support and made several other Steam Deck optimizations, along with a wide range of bug fixes. Check out the full details below.
\[In-Game Tutorial]
The Beginner Guide will now appear for first-time players, helping them learn the basic controls and progression systems as they play.
The Trait provided during the tutorial has been changed from 'Charge' to 'Far Sight.'
\[Gamepad Improvements]
The Options button can now be used to open and close the game menu.
Controller vibration intensity and duration now scale with the amount of damage taken.
\[Content & Balance Changes]
Combat / Traits
Sword waves now pierce an unlimited number of enemies.
The 'Soul Slash' Trait has been buffed.
Spirits no longer display HP bars, and their visual effects are now smaller.
Monsters / Bosses
Hell Thief Molds no longer steal Devil Weapons.
In Lunch Mode and above, Rock Mary will no longer use the same attack pattern twice in a row.
Shop / Items
The Merchant can now sell Honey Guns and Honey Dippers.
Hornet Buddy has been replaced with Queen Bee Buddy.
Challenges
In the Instant Order Ascension Challenge, effects from Angel Magic Circles can now be selected directly instead of being determined by roulette.
Removed the restriction that prevented Poop from appearing in the Suspicious Curry Challenge.
Other
Struggling while being dragged toward a door now temporarily slows the pull.
Bots will no longer pick up Ore when there is nowhere to deposit it. This makes them less likely to enter boss fights empty-handed and take weapons from players.
The exclamation mark that appears when placing a ping now moves more dramatically.
Now that World Cup fever has cooled off, the goal has been removed from the lobby. See you at the next World Cup!

\[Bug Fixes]
Fixed an issue where pressing certain buttons on a gamepad would move the focus to whatever was under the mouse cursor instead of activating the selected button.
Fixed an issue where PlayStation controllers displayed Xbox controller UI.
Fixed an issue where auto-aim would occasionally target empty areas.
Fixed an issue where the auto-aim indicator appeared too far away while in Giant Form.
Fixed an issue where Bots would occasionally attack empty space.
Fixed an issue where Muhammarock could chase spirits and leave the map.
Potion Buddy now heals the ally with the lowest percentage of remaining HP.
Fixed an issue where Bee Buddies and Hornet Buddies would fly toward invulnerable bosses and self-destruct.
Fixed an issue where players could be pushed by a boss during its entrance animation.
Fixed an issue where a guest's first attempt to select 'Continue' would fail if the button was pressed immediately after becoming available.
Fixed an issue where the King's cursor would disappear after opening and closing the game menu.
Fixed an issue where Challenge selection cards remained in the previous language after changing the language setting.
Fixed an issue where dying at Level 1 would display Level 0 on the results screen.
Fixed an issue where Pennydice could take damage while it was supposed to be invulnerable.
Fixed an issue where the Merchant could spawn on top of a door.
Fixed an issue where bees could be summoned while descending underground, as well as an issue where being pulled by chains while entering an underground door could disrupt the transition.
Fixed an issue where weapons dropped by weapon-wielding monsters could occasionally disappear.
Fixed an issue where bosses immune to Honey-Coated would repeatedly display the 'Immune' text.
Fixed an issue where a white square appeared in the flashbang effect, lasers obscured the screen during the ending credits, and control icons appeared as text.
Fixed an issue where the gold lines on Trait Orbs appeared white and evolution connection lines appeared while vomiting out all Traits.
Fixed an issue where pings could not be placed on Rock Mary's hologram platform.
Reduced the volume of Mr. Fist's mosquito sound.
Cleaned up line breaks in game tips and revised several Trait tags that were unclear.
Fixed various bugs involving animations and upgrades on Steam Deck.
