It’s time for a new city!
[p align="start"]On October 13, 2026, the Vienna Expansion, the biggest expansion for City Transport Simulator 2026 yet, will be released. For the first time, we’re leaving Tramau behind and bringing you a realistically recreated map based on a real city: Vienna.[p align="start"]With three real-world routes, new vehicles, and more than 1,000 realistically recreated buildings, you’ll be able to explore the Austrian capital by bus and tram.[p align="start"]At the same time, the new City Transport Simulator 2026 – Vienna Edition will be released, combining the base game and the Vienna Expansion in one package.[p align="start"]The Vienna Expansion and Vienna Edition will launch on October 13, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.Three real-world routes through Vienna 🚋🚌
For the Vienna Expansion, we have selected three real-world routes that showcase very different sides of the city.

[p align="start"]Even before we head to Vienna in October, we’re continuing to work on City Transport Simulator 2026.[p align="start"]With Update 26.2.0, you can look forward to new gameplay features as well as numerous improvements to vehicles, sounds, passengers, and pedestrians.Express routes and skipping stops 🚌
You can now create your own express bus routes and choose individual stops to skip. This allows you to create longer routes with fewer intermediate stops and shorter journey times.

[p align="start"]In Free Roam, you can now take a seat and enjoy your own routes from a passenger’s perspective.Custom announcements on PC 🎙️
[p align="start"]With Update 26.2.0, PC players can use their own audio files for announcements, replacing the standard or predefined announcements.[p align="start"]Detailed instructions on how to create and use custom announcements can be found in the corresponding ReadMe file in the City Transport Simulator 2026 Announcements folder.Special announcements
[p align="start"]Special announcements can now be triggered manually on all IBIS devices that support this feature. [p align="start"]For some additional variety, we’ve recorded and integrated new male and female passenger voices.Improvements to numerous vehicles 🚋
[p align="start"]Update 26.2.0 also brings further improvements to vehicles including the E1, ULF, and Flexity.[p align="start"]On the E1, the deadman warning must now always be acknowledged using the deadman button. The animation of the main switch has also been corrected.[p align="start"]On the Flexity, the windshield wiper can now be switched off again using the same button, and additional button sounds have been added to the left display. On both the ULF and Flexity, the pedals for the bell and track brake now function correctly. The ULF’s 3D model has also received several detail improvements.[p align="start"]In addition, adhesion has been adjusted according to the selected braking force, reducing the tendency of the wheels to lock up at high braking force settings.New and improved vehicle sounds 🔊
[p align="start"]The soundscape of numerous vehicles has been revised and expanded, including:[p align="start"]E1, Tatra, ULF A1/B1, Flexity Vienna, GT6/GT8, R2.2b, and Tramlink.[p align="start"]Depending on the vehicle, motor, door, pantograph, braking, and cornering sounds have been improved or completely replaced, with additional detail sounds added for various vehicle components.[p align="start"]Spatial audio has also been improved: on several vehicles, sounds from the passenger compartment are now appropriately muffled when heard from inside the closed driver’s cab.More natural passengers and pedestrians 🚶
[p align="start"]Passenger and pedestrian behavior has been improved in numerous areas. This includes more natural distribution and grouping, improved spawning and movement behavior, and better handling of height differences and obstacles.[p align="start"]We’ve also fixed several issues that could cause passengers and pedestrians to float, appear in incorrect positions, or disappear when sitting down. Pedestrian density now also adapts more closely to the surrounding environment.Console performance and stability
[p align="start"]We’re continuing to work on improving performance and stability on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.[p align="start"]With this update, we have optimized various environmental elements around Toriyama Allee to improve stability in this area.[p align="start"]We’re very excited about the weeks ahead. Update 26.2.0 brings numerous new features and improvements to City Transport Simulator 2026 – and on October 13, 2026, the Vienna Expansion and Vienna Edition will begin the next big chapter.
