It’s good to be back. Summer’s coming to a close, and that means we are returning with our ever-popular Eugen Dev blogs.
We’ll do a brief recap of some of the latest things that came to pass, with a snappy look ahead at the new cool stuff you can expect to come to WARNO in the very near future.
So that you know, we are working concurrently on finishing up WARNO - Tropic Storm, spinning up Nemesis #9 (to be revealed soon), and continuing to lay the foundations for the other major expansion in the pipeline: WARNO - Black Birds.
WARNO - Tropic Storm Models and Divisions
We’ve been busy bees this summer, with one of the major development milestones being the new models for the upcoming big expansion WARNO - Tropic Storm.
They are almost all done. We are putting the finishing touches on the models, including the last licks of paint, before we arrange a nice photoshoot and unit portraits.
What’s more, we’ve also finalized the arsenals and unit rosters for all the WARNO - Tropic Storm divisions. If you want to catch up on the historical and unit overview for each new battlegroup, check out the list below. The Strike Team will get their hands on the first completed divisions as soon as they are ready - which likely be later this week - and will undoubtedly be streaming the latest additions coming to WARNO. The first to be shown will be the U.S. 4th Marine Division & 7th Infantry Division (Light).
WARNO - Tropic Storm gives you access to 6 new divisions and 4 new nations, plus an arsenal of new units, models, weapons, new terrain sets, and maps, and more, all set with its brand-new theatre of operations, the Caribbean and South America.
WARNO’s Future
Next to WARNO - Tropic Storm, we’re also hard at work in getting down to business with Nemesis #9 and WARNO - Black Birds.
Now, we can’t reveal yet what we are working on as Eugen’s pick with Nemesis #9, but we have already started laying down the groundwork. The models are getting a first past, and we’ll be able to showcase the first details in the not-too-distant future.
With regards to WARNO - Black Birds, it will be the next major Tribute-style expansion (so no Operations or Army General campaigns). It will feature 8 new divisions and 5 new nations historically outside of either NATO or the Warsaw Pact, or otherwise very reluctantly part of either alliance. You guys have already correctly guessed the nations, being Switzerland and Austria (for NATO), and Hungary and Albania (for the Warsaw Pact). And there is still the hidden identity of our “mysterious” fifth nation…
Of course, there is much more in the WARNO pipeline. We will not stop developing for our beloved Cold War-turned-hot RTS after WARNO - Black Birds, with future content to be revealed in due time.
Nemesis #8 - School’s Out!
In case you missed it, we have released Nemesis #8 - School’s Out!, the most recent community-voted Nemesis. It features two unique WARNO Instructor-heavy divisions: the West German Verfügungstruppenkommando 42 and the Soviet 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya.
