Timber! Woodcutting Is Here!
Woodcutting, Eterspire’s brand-new lifeskill, is finally here! Grab your axe and begin your journey to master lumberjack as you chop down a wide variety of unique trees scattered throughout Aetera. Along the way, you’ll meet new characters, explore new maps, unlock new tools, collect fancy new cosmetics, and discover plenty of awesome rewards!
New Quest: "Wood You Kindly?" A young adventurer needs some help acing her job interview at the Sawmill! Talk to Leefa in the Deep Forest to begin this new level 15 quest.
Enemy and Quest Scaling
While progressing an active quest or hunt, monsters will now scale roughly to your character’s level, allowing them to put up a proper fight even if you’re overleveled.
Quests now award EXP based on your character’s level instead of the quest’s level. This means all quests both old and new can remain worthwhile even much later in your adventure!
Together, these changes should make Eterspire’s huge catalog of quests more relevant, rewarding, and fun to experience regardless of where you are in your progression!
Major Online Connectivity Improvements
We’ve made some major improvements to Eterspire’s online connectivity, addressing an issue that was almost certainly responsible for the vast majority of player disconnections.
Disconnects have historically been a recurring issue for some Eterspire players, and this update should represent a huge step forward in reducing them. We’ll continue closely monitoring this after release, but players should experience significantly fewer unexpected disconnections going forward.
Eterspire has also been migrated to new servers with much lower latency, making online play smoother and more responsive for players around the world.
And There's More!
Getting into Eterspire is now faster than ever! Launching the game will now take you to the login menu much faster, significantly reducing startup time and letting you quickly jump back into your adventure.
You asked, and we delivered! The Guild menu now displays when each guild member was last online, making it easier for guild leaders and members to keep track of activity.
Lost Content Restored
As we announced after the release of v80, we recently experienced a version control issue that caused some content to be lost, including a handful of smaller features and certain Familiars. This content has now all been restored!
The "Miniature Ozyra" familiar, obtained by completing "Walk Like an Alcalagan," might still be missing for some players who were active during v80, and it will be given directly to their characters via query in the coming hours .
Bugfixes
Fixed an issue where depositing items into the wardrobe while fishing could cause the game to crash.
Several minor bugfixes.
Coming in Eterspire v82!
Big localization improvements are on the way! Eterspire’s translations have historically been labeled as "in development," as we had identified several issues that prevented them from reaching the quality we wanted. Translations will receive major improvements very soon, for a much more natural and polished experience.
Eterspire is getting very close to migrating to Unity 6! This is a major technical milestone that once seemed practically unthinkable, and it opens the door to huge performance improvements . We’re incredibly excited about what this will allow us to do, and we expect Eterspire’s performance to improve significantly over the next few updates.
Woodcutting isn’t done yet! More Woodcutting content is already on the way in v82, so keep those axes handy!

Community
Our community contest Can You Smell What Slugnose is Cooking? has ended, and the rewards have been given out! We chanllenged all adventurers to deliver the most exotic meals they could ever dream of directly to the plates of the largest eminences out there... us! All participants received rewards (50 Manu Coins and the epithet "Roasted".)We chose the five tastiest meals, and the winners were then decided by community vote on our Discord server!
A new community event will begin soon, with rewards for everyone! Join out official Discord server to get notified when it starts!
To celebrate our fifth anniversary, Eterspire's Beta 1 is now available to play online! You can check it out here. If you want jumping, PvP, and item stacking, this might be for you!
This year, EVA will be presented by Eterspire! EVA (Exposición Argentina de Videojuegos, or Argentine Videogame Exposition in English) is one of the largest videogame events in Latin America, and has been part of our journey almost from the beginning. We're incredibly excited and proud for this opportunity, and we have a lot more planned for the expo which we will be sharing soon!
