Sanctified Cross Rework
Passive effect
Holding, carrying, throwing, or being near a cross slows anxiety gain.
Doesn't require the cross to be placed.
Passive effect is disabled when cross is flipped or desecrated.
Ghost interaction
A cross placed in the favorite room can be flipped by the ghost.
Ghost interaction has been substantially increased.
Ghost-flipped cross still provides favorite-room confirmation/photo credit.
Desecration
Player can manually flip a placed cross in the favorite room.
This triggers a Desecrated Hunt.
Desecrated cross is consumed permanently, removed from global inventory and unavailable next contract.
Desecrated cross photo anomaly type (limited to 1 per contract)
Desecrated cross gets a distinctive visual effect, making its altered state obvious.
Desecrated Hunt
Ghost teleports to a random valid location within a predetermined radius of the cross, rather than directly on it.
50–100% of interior doors are randomly selected, slammed shut, and locked.
Exterior doors behave normally for a hunt (locked).
Fixed 75-second hunt duration, ignoring difficulty hunt-duration settings.
Obsidian Shield is ineffective (ghost blows it out upon lighting or if already lit).
Holy Water works normally.
