Hello, this is Reale_ly. This is a quick update post for the current status of the translation.
Where is the translation? Many have been asking me the past few weeks. The initial estimate of August was supposed to be a safe estimate based on my daily word rate with some allowances for taking on other projects (neither Jones nor I are being compensated financially for this project by the developer).
In the last update post, I talked about how there's only items, skills, etc left, but what I had failed to account for was how immensely difficult translating these segments would be due to textbox limitations. Making sure all the meaning gets conveyed in so small a space while retaining proper effect meant sometimes I had to spend hours writing and rewriting descriptions for certain items.
Currently, we have everything aside from armors, common events, states and skills complete and ready to go.
Unfortunately, as it stands, an August release simply isn't possible with all the text left to be translated and go through QA. This news may be disappointing to some, and I'm very sorry for being unable to meet the expectations set beforehand.
More than that, though, I've been working on Cradle for the better part of the year now and I'm beginning to feel slightly burned out on it. Some personal stuff (which I won't get into here) has also happened in the past month that I need to deal with, so I won't have as much time to work on Cradle as before.
With all that said, though, I am still chipping away at it bit by bit, and while I can't give a concrete release date yet, I will try to finish up the rest of the game before October. Thank you for your patience!
