Hey Fixers, Wolves and Wild Punks!
Patch #1 for Kusan: City of Wolves is now live!
Since launch, we’ve been listening closely to your feedback and continuing to look at ways we can improve your journey through the streets of the city.
Patch #1 brings together a range of gameplay improvements, balancing changes and quality-of-life additions, including seeing further ahead, changes to Limbus Cores, improvements to boss encounters, new combat notifications, updated music arrangements and more.
Here’s what’s changed:
👀 See Further Ahead
We’ve added the ability to look further ahead within each floor, pressing SHIFT gives you a better view of what’s waiting beyond your immediate surroundings.
A new tutorial has also been added to introduce the feature.
🧬 Limbus Improvements
We’ve made several changes to Limbus progression based on player feedback:
• A Limbus Clear Mark has been added to Chapter Select, making it easier to see which Limbus challenges you’ve already completed.
• Fixed an issue where players could run out of Limbus Cores before unlocking every available upgrade.
• Players can now earn Limbus Cores from previously cleared Limbus challenges, giving you another opportunity to earn the Cores needed to complete your upgrades.
⚖️ Combat & Enemy Balancing
We’ve made several adjustments across combat encounters:
• Added a notification before gun-wielding enemies fire, giving you a clearer opportunity to react.
• Rebalanced the slowdown AOE attacks used by the Cyborg Dog and Monkey enemies.
• Balanced the bullet patterns during the Stage 2-7 Hoban van fight.
• Increased boss damage from the Crossbow Charge Shot and Revolver Golden Bullet, making these powerful attacks even more effective against bosses.
🦾 Master Your Parry
Timing is everything.
We’ve added a new Parry sub-tutorial to Stage 2-1 and the Stage 2-7 boss fight, giving players additional guidance on one of Jin’s most important combat techniques.
🎵 Music Updates
We’ve made further refinements to the game’s music arrangement, improving how tracks are used throughout your journey and how the soundtrack complements the action.
📺 Screen Shake Options
Prefer a steadier view of the action?
A new Screen Shake option has been added, giving you greater control over how much screen movement you experience during combat.
🐺 The Final Showdown
We’ve also made visual improvements to the Final Boss fight, adding further polish to the climactic encounter awaiting Jin at the end of his journey.
We won’t spoil anything else. You’ll have to get there yourself.
