Patch #9 : Smoother Progression, Better Feedback & More Polish

Another update is now live!

This one focuses on making the overall experience feel smoother and clearer, with new animations across progression and UI screens, improvements to liquid and ingredient interactions, more customization, and a large number of fixes.

Progression & UI

We’ve added more feedback and polish to several progression screens:

• Added animations to the Day Summary screen

• Added animations when claiming tiers in Character Progression

• Added animations to the Skills screen

• Added animations to dish evaluation details

• Added sounds to UI animations

• Improved Character Progression refreshing

• Fixed incorrect ingredient weight display

• Fixed badges not disappearing for locked customers

• Fixed excessive mixture details appearing in order ratings

• Fixed mouse cursor resetting to the center of the screen when switching tabs

• Improved ingredient screen scaling for 16:10 displays

Gameplay & Interactions

• Added Mass Transfer from containers or player hands directly to the Assembly Ingredients Board

• Stackable ingredients transferred from deep containers to cutting boards or oven trays will now recreate their stacks

• Improved physics when inserting objects into containers

• Fixed objects behaving chaotically when dropped on the floor

• Fixed several ingredient colliders

• Fixed stack placement on kitchen stoves

• Fixed throwing pots with colanders

• Fixed ingredients spawning above spawners when holding a full container

• Fixed object placement on sloped shelves

• Fixed collision prediction for the small paper bag spawner

• Fixed transferring ingredients when the source container contains movable ingredients

• Fixed liquid level visualization refreshing incorrectly when removing ingredients

• Fixed several container transfer and mass transfer issues

Liquids & Cooking

We’ve made several improvements to liquid visuals and cooking feedback:

• Reworked liquid stain color generation

• Fixed inconsistent liquid surface visualization when pouring into containers that already contain liquid

• Fixed inconsistent liquid colors between bottle spawners and their carton versions

• Fixed liquid surface visualization in several pouring situations

• Added a correct hint when trying to pour from an empty bottle

• Fixed missing tags for liquid mixtures on plates

• Fixed missing charred tags after blending charred ingredients

• Fixed thermal information not updating correctly in ingredient mixture hovers

• Fixed an issue when blending coated ingredients

• Fixed missing texture and material issues on the upgraded tap in Ecru Atelier

Blueprints & Recipes

• Fixed small ingredients mixed with blobs being incorrectly treated as separable mixtures in Blueprints

• Fixed the plate hologram for custom Blueprints

• Improved Blueprints from other players in the Day Menu

• Blueprints remain available in the Day Menu after their owner disconnects, but can only be removed from the menu

• Fixed the Grilled Seitan recipe

• Fixed several Blueprint and recipe-related issues

Tutorial & Sandbox

• Improved tutorial and progression flow

• Fixed issues with hints and progression

• Hidden the quest panel in Sandbox mode

• Fixed several tutorial-related UI and interaction issues

Kitchens & Visuals

• Added LODs for spice containers and small jars

• Fixed and optimized various ingredient colliders

• Optimized models and visuals across the Player Kitchen

• Improved ice cream stand models

• Updated street cones and background bar assets

• Improved drawer and bedroom cabinet handles

• Updated the floor texture in BK2

• Fixed shadows affecting bowls in Ecru Atelier

• Fixed missing avocado spawner materials and shader

• Fixed bread crumb spawner clipping

• Improved Butter Lettuce smoothness

Other Fixes

• Fixed loading issues when returning from the Player Kitchen to the main kitchen

• Fixed Quick Join becoming unresponsive after a failed join

• Fixed Error 104 when returning to the kitchen in multiplayer or using Quick Join

• Fixed customer movement

• Fixed a rare crash related to the Kitchen Dance skill

• Fixed the default save bottle issue

• Fixed player position when starting a game in BK1

• Fixed character crouch hand positioning

• Fixed pinned recipes appearing in Character Creator

• Fixed missing customer type names in the Orders app

• Fixed incorrect player hints being shown for the host's Chef Belt

• Fixed several issues with container transfers and ingredient mixtures

And, as always, there are plenty of smaller fixes and polish improvements throughout the game.
