Offline Mode is here! Cloudheim can now be played without an internet connection, with manual controls for going offline and automatic fallback if your connection drops. If you are one of the "I will buy it when offline is added" players.. now is your time!
This update also adds four new contest weapons, more Homestead decor, a tougher Quarry Guardian, save game optimizations, and a long list of community-requested fixes.
Cloudheim is also $19.79 for a limited time.
As always, 💬 indicates a change inspired by community feedback. If you’ve got an idea, let us know — it might end up in the game!
Offline Mode
Cloudheim no longer requires an internet connection to play!
You can manually switch to Offline Mode whenever you’d like, and Cloudheim will also automatically let you continue offline if it has trouble connecting.
To manually enable it:
Settings → Account → Force Offline Mode → On
Cloudheim will remain offline until you turn this setting back off.
While offline, features that require an online connection will be unavailable, including:
Online multiplayer
Shared Worlds
Creating or converting a world into a Shared World
If you manually turn on Force Offline Mode while you still have an internet connection, your saves will stay linked to your Steam or Epic account and cloud saves will continue to work normally.
Don’t worry: your Shared Worlds are not deleted or lost while you’re offline. They’ll appear again once you reconnect.
Four New Contest Weapons ⚔️
Four new weapons chosen with the help of the Cloudheim community have made their way into the realms! It's really cool to see all of these go from player concept to actually in-game, hope you enjoy!
The Runic Chakram is the winning design from our community weapon contest!
Three more weapons were selected through our Chinese weapon contest:
Tang Heng Dao: A straight-bladed sword said to have been forged with celestial flame. The heat still smolders within, and it comes with a brand-new skill.
Ring-Pommel Dao: A gift from Eastern smiths said to steady the wielder's mind. Allegedly.
Baat Jaam Do (Butterfly Swords): A pair of short blades inspired by a mythical butterfly said to slip between worlds.
For a limited time, the Tang Heng Dao, Ring-Pommel Dao, and Baat Jaam Do have a chance to drop from bosses in the Vault of the Gods.
The Runic Chakram can be found by defeating the boss in Strikestone Quarry on Greenvor.
You can also earn any of the four weapons by defeating the new Weapon Collector, who can be found wandering each island (he's very fast, so keep an eye out!).

Shop Improvements and Bug Fixes 🏠
Added several new decor items, including frog masks, wooden planks, and fishing supplies, unlocked as part of Homestead upgrades
💬 Shoppers will no longer steal items if they can’t navigate to the checkout counter. They will instead drop the item and leave. Crime does not pay
💬 Tall Shelves now hold stacks of 30 instead of 20
💬 Adjusted Holiday String Lights for easier placement and a more accurate preview. Note: This will cause existing placements on Odin Shell to rotate for players
Added Mana Regeneration Crystal to the list of upgrade altars on Odin Shell
Smithing resource shoppers will now buy raw ore, unrefined crystals, and refined crystals
Fixed an unintended appearance change on two Blins (Lonlon and Mly'xst)
Fix Blins not matching the energy of nearby player emotes
General Improvements and Bug Fixes 🛠️
💬 Save data optimizations that should resolve hitching on autosave and have some other minor performance improvements for saves that have a lot of playtime
💬 Fix an issue with disappearing ground in some places with low quality settings (this temporarily removes the option to play with shadows fully disabled)
💬 Fixed a bug causing checkpoints in larger dungeons to be too small
💬 Added an accessibility setting controlling the strength of camera shake (Gameplay .. Cameras)
💬 Added key re-bind for emotes
💬 Added the ability to duplicate World Saves from the Continue menu (Manage Save .. Make a copy). Note: Copying a Shared World will only copy the version as of the last time you hosted it

Combat Improvements and Bug Fixes ⚔️
Made the Quarry Guardian fight harder on Challenging and Unforgiving difficulties, with new attacks on Unforgiving
Fixed a bug causing damage rings from enemy attacks to suddenly disappear instead of smoothly fading out
Fixed an exploit allowing players to use Hookshot to skip the final boss fight in Dustlanger
Fixed skill icon for Tempest Slash upgrade
Fixed the base power level of the Carrot Sword+1
Frostwrought Fang now has an upgraded version of its ability
Fixed how Fenrir’s Fang is being held
Fixed a typo in the Sword Fu skill description
Updated the Runari Rush quests “Defeat enemies with fire/ice damage” to be “Defeat enemies with fire/ice skills”, matching the behavior
