Greetings Lampbearers, Today’s update brings a number of adjustments and enhancements, with a particular focus on Boss Weapon Special Attacks, alongside several co-op and UI improvements. Following extensive feedback from players, we’ve revisited how Special Attacks are unlocked for Boss Weapons. Many of you asked for greater freedom to access and experiment with these abilities throughout your journey. With this update, Special Attacks are now unlocked simply by meeting the weapon’s stat requirements.
Boss Weapon Special Attacks
Boss Weapon Special Attacks no longer require the completion of specific quests to unlock.
Special Attacks are now available as soon as the player meets the weapon’s stat requirements, regardless of its upgrade level.
Quests that previously unlocked Boss Weapon Special Attacks now reward upgrade materials instead.
Added new tutorials covering Boss Weapons and the use of their Special Attacks.
Adjusted the balancing of Boss Weapon Special Attacks, with particular attention given to their performance at lower upgrade levels.
Other Updates
Fixed save files incorrectly changing from Veteran to Legacy after leaving a Shared Co-op session. In some cases, players who had both been playing on Veteran could find one save switched to Legacy after leaving the session, preventing that player from reverting to Veteran and continuing to play together. Note: This fix does not retroactively restore save files already affected.
Fixed Full Entitlement players being teleported to the beginning of the game after loading a save file. Note: This fix does not retroactively restore save files affected by the previous hotfix.
Fixed Saint Latimer's Relic Spear 1H Special Attack being usable indefinitely when the player had 0.5 Soulflay Charges.
Fixed Saint Latimer's Relic Spear 2H Special Attack appearing to consume an incorrect number of Soulflay Charges.
Fixed The Hushed Saint's Halberd 1H Special Attack being unavailable when the player had exactly 1 Soulflay Charge.
Fixed the Queen's Head Hammer 1H Special Attack being usable without the required 2 Soulflay Charges.
Improved the message displayed when attempting to purchase a Shrine item already owned by the player.
Fixed the controller selection highlight disappearing from the Character Creation class selection screen after opening the Dark Crusader unlock message.
Revised language package: updated controller terminology across Spanish, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Ukrainian, and Russian to align with platform terminology, adjusted Italian localization based on player feedback, and added Russian localization.
