Today, we’re excited to share both our 1.0 Roadmap and a brand-new major update for the game.
This update adds Japanese language support, along with plenty of new content, improvements, and fixes. 🇯🇵
But this is just the beginning! There’s much more to come as we continue to expand Revenge of the Mage. 🧙♂️✨

🗺️ New Maps & Realms
Explore brand-new Multiverses, including:
☁️ Cloud Town and its unique boss.
🩸 Blood Moon Realm, featuring a dangerous vampire-themed world.
👑 Final Boss Realm, where the ultimate challenge awaits.
🧙 New Unlockable Mages
Defeat powerful bosses to unlock brand-new playable mages. Each comes with unique abilities and new ways to build your character:
🌑 Umbral Mage: A shadow-themed mage unlocked after defeating the Final Boss.
🩸 Blood Mage: A blood-themed mage unlocked after conquering the Blood Moon.
Each comes with unique abilities and new ways to build your character.
⚔️ New Enemy Tiers
Prepare to face stronger enemies than ever before.
🛡️ Elite Enemies: Formidable new foes with distinct and challenging abilities.
👹 Champion Enemies: Powerful enemies with unique abilities that can completely change the pace of combat.
🎒 New Items & Progression
We're expanding progression with plenty of new content, including:
💍 New Equipment: Expand your build with rings, boots, and more.
🃏 New Cards: Brand-new archetype-exclusive passive cards.
📖 Spell Books: Collect hidden pages to modify your spells at Safe Haven stations.
📈 Permanent Upgrades: Unlock new enhancements to strengthen your mage across runs.
More build variety means more ways to survive each run.
⚙️ Performance & Optimization
One of our biggest priorities for Version 1.0 is optimization.
We're improving performance across the entire game, allowing for smoother gameplay and significantly larger enemy counts during intense battles.

🎮 Twitch Integration: Let your viewers join the fun! Chat can vote directly on your passive card selections during a run.
🔊 Sound Revamp: Overhauled sound settings to ensure a flawless and immersive audio experience.
⚔️ NEW UPDATE
With today's update, we're delivering a major part of our Performance & Optimization goals from the roadmap, along with a bunch of gameplay improvements.
Get ready for a much smoother and more responsive experience, even when you're facing massive hordes of enemies!
🏴☠️ New Pirate Multiverse
A brand-new Pirate-themed Multiverse has been added to the game!
Explore this new world, fight dangerous enemies, and discover what awaits you in this mysterious realm.
🇯🇵 Japanese Language Support
Japanese language support is now available in the game!
We'll continue working on localization in future updates and do our best to bring more languages to the game.
📈 More Engaging XP System
Enemies now drop XP orbs when defeated.
Collect them during your runs to level up your Mage and grow stronger as you progress through the Multiverses.
💨 Faster & More Responsive Combat
We've made melee combat significantly faster and smoother.
The pre-attack delay has been reduced from 0.3 seconds to 0.05 seconds.
We also fixed an issue where a single melee attack could accidentally damage the same enemy multiple times.
Melee combat should now feel much faster, smoother, and more responsive!
🚀 Performance & Optimization
We've made major improvements to the game's overall performance.
These improvements allow us to have significantly more enemies on screen at once, giving you a much smoother experience during intense battles.
🔊 Improved Sound System
We've completely revamped the sound settings and fixed various audio-related issues.
Sounds should now work more consistently and properly throughout the game.
💰 Gold Chests
Gold Chests have been added to the game!
Discover them during your runs and get new opportunities to collect valuable rewards.
💎 Gem Crystals
Gem Crystals now drop multiple gems instead of just one when destroyed.
Break more crystals and collect more gems!
🛠️ Bug Fixes & Improvements
We've also fixed a number of gameplay issues in this update:
Language Issue: Fixed an issue causing item descriptions in Russian and Chinese to appear as broken symbols.
Lightning Mage – Stormcage: Fixed unwanted visual issues with the Stormcage ability.
Ice Mage – FrostboundBlink: Fixed an issue where the teleport location would sometimes fail to update.
Blackhole: Fixed an issue where Blackhole would attempt to pull in dead enemies.
Multiverse Difficulty System: Fixed a critical issue that could cause the game to crash when the difficulty timer reached its final level.
Melee Combat: Fixed an issue where a single attack could hit the same enemy multiple times.
Pyramid Enemies: Fixed an issue where Shield enemies would sometimes fail to deal damage.
Exploding Enemies: Fixed an issue where exploding enemies could get stuck in their explosion animation instead of properly disappearing after death.

The roadmap above represents our current plans for Version 1.0, but it doesn't include everything we're working on.
We'll continue sharing new features, improvements, and development progress through future announcements and development logs as we get closer to launch.
