Hi Parasites!
We're back with a new update! This time the focus is mostly on balancing. We've been combing through all your feedback here on Steam and on our Discord reporting channels, and we noticed a few organelles and mutations performing far better than intended due to how the buffs were stacked. This patch will turn them down a notch, while also buffing several other organelles to encourage more varied approaches to infecting the human body.
At the same time, there are several adjustments to the hp of enemies in the Heart, as we hope to make this "final" level more fitting to its status.

Organelle Balance
Buffs
Sentry Nidus: turret damage 70 + 20 x rarity -> 80 + 50 x rarity
Swarm Nidus: minion damage 9 + 4 x rarity -> 9 + 5 x rarity
Gyrase Wheel: stamina cost 2.0 -> 1.4
Conal Burst: time between shots in the spray 0.08s -> 0.04s (melee weapons 0.32s -> 0.16s). The burst now also re-reads your aim on every shot, so the cone follows the cursor instead of locking to the direction you were facing when you pressed it
Opisthoblast: cones now also spawn on missed melee attacks, not just on hits
Dehiscence Lobber: grenade damage 250 -> 280
Blastocyst Mortar: rocket damage 280 -> 300
Nerfs
Overcharge-strength bonuses (Conductive slot, plasmids, mutations) now stack additively with each other instead of multiplicatively
Lateral Emitter: damage 1.0 + 0.4 x rarity -> 1.0 + 0.3 x rarity; overcharge bonus +0.5 -> +0.4 per charge. Also now scales off the attack's base damage instead of its fully-buffed damage, so it no longer double-dips on your global damage bonuses
Katanosome: overcharge crit chance +20% -> +10% per charge (base 10% unchanged)
Phagosome: overcharge damage gained per kill: 0.5% + 0.5% x rarity -> 0.25% + 0.25% x rarity per charge
Peroxisome: its explosions were re-applying every global on-attack damage bonus a second time on top of the damage they already inherited. This is corrected now, so explosions hit for what they say
Mucus Emitter: orbs now grow with the square root of the range multiplier instead of linearly, so their area no longer balloons
Mutation Balance
Autonomic Discharge: charge speed bonus reduced from 50% less charge time to 25%
Enhanced Boosters / Survival Reflex: no longer offered once your dodge i-frames would cover more than 80% of your dodge cooldown (stacking both was reaching permanent invulnerability while chain-dodging)
Enemy Balance
Most heart enemies got a slight HP buff:
Cluster Cardiac Macrophage 1300 -> 1625, small version 400 -> 500
Cardiac Diplocytes 1000 -> 1250, melee/ranged variants 700 -> 875
Pericyte 500 -> 625
Sniper Cardiac Monocyte 400 -> 500
Heart boss tentacles 7000 -> 8000 HP
Quality of life
New tooltip stat for mitochondria: hold the expand-tooltip key to see overcharge produced in the last room
Framerate limit: 90 FPS added to the options
Slot converters can no longer be applied to omni slots
Fixes
Fixed several crashes in the organelle editor and connection graph.
Loadout changes made while a challenge was selected are no longer silently discarded on the next run.
Fixed organelle sparkle particles rendering incorrectly
Beam width now scales slower and more consistently with damage
Fixed the wording of the "Pierce X times with a single attack" unlock
Fixed controller remaps sometimes not getting applied
Fixed Sinoatrial Node beat indicator jitter
