Major Update 1.2: Pets, Security Guard, Baccarat & Lighting Control!
This is our biggest content drop yet! Update 1.2 finally delivers one of your most requested features, a proper Security Guard for your payroll, introduces Pets as a full gameplay mechanic free for every player, opens the doors to 6-player co-op, lets you repaint your casino with Neon LED Strips and full Lighting Control, deals in the classic Baccarat table, and adds a few very satisfying new toys, including a vacuum cleaner that eats money.
We teased most of this in our sneak peek, and now it's finally live.
Pets: A Brand-New Gameplay Mechanic
Every casino needs a mascot. Pets are now a fully-fledged system in The House Always Wins, and the entire mechanic is included free in Update 1.2 for all players. No DLC required.
Starter Companions: Every player gets the pet bed plus a Labrador and a Black Cat. Adopt one and it's yours.
One Bed = One Animal: Place a pet bed from the Akei furniture shop and it becomes home to one companion. Want a whole menagerie? Place more beds.
Command Wheel: Every pet listens to you. Open the command selector and order your companion to Follow, Sit, Walk, Speak, or just give it a Pet on the head.
Twitch Integration: Pets display their assigned Twitch viewer name above their head, just like your other visitors.
Want More Breeds? The Pets DLC
If you want a bigger roster to choose from, the optional Pets DLC launches alongside Update 1.2 and unlocks a lot more animals. It is purely additional breeds, so nothing in the base mechanic is locked behind it.

Hire a Security Guard
One of your most requested features is finally here.
A New Employee on the Payroll: The Security Guard joins your staff roster to help you deal with troublemakers.
Three Quality Tiers: Guards come in Low, Mid and High grades. Better guards move faster and cover your floor more effectively.
Unlocked via Upgrade: Hire your first guard through the new Office upgrade and the Hire Security Guard quest.
Bring More Friends
Six-Player Co-op: Your casino can now hold up to six players in a single session. Bring the whole crew.
Friends-Only Sessions: Invites and joining are now friends-only, so random strangers can't wander into your casino uninvited.
Neon LED Strips & Lighting Control
Draw Your Own Neon: Grab the LED tool and draw glowing neon strips anywhere you want, along your walls, around corners, across the ceiling. You see the line before you place it, and you can rip it back out whenever you change your mind.
Any Color You Want: Pick any color for your strips, from clean white to hot pink to full rave.
Every Floor, Your Way: The new Lights section in your Tablet lets you recolor the casino lighting itself, and each floor can have its own color. Cozy gold downstairs, deep purple upstairs, whatever fits the vibe you're going for.
Priced by Length: LED strips are charged by how long you make them, so a small accent strip costs pocket change next to a full ceiling run. Remove one and you get half your money back.
Free in Sandbox: In Sandbox, LED strips cost you nothing. Go wild.
Unlocked via Upgrades: Both LED Strips and Lighting Control arrive with their own upgrades.
New Table Game: Baccarat
The Classic Comes to the Floor: Baccarat is now a fully playable table game. Sit down, place your stake and call it: Player, Banker or Tie.
Bet Right on the Table: Place your chips straight onto the betting grid on the table itself, with every seat and every bet clearly marked.
Premium Baccarat Upgrade: Unlock the table through its own quest and upgrade line.

Money Vacuum Cleaner
Suck Up Your Profits: The Money Vacuum Cleaner hoovers cash straight off the casino floor and out of your machines. No more running around picking up every single bill.
Unlocked via Upgrade: Arrives with its own Office upgrade.
Fireworks
Light Up the Sky: Fireworks are now a purchasable item you can place and set off outside your casino, with five different bangs to go with them.
Fireworks Challenge: Added a dedicated Fireworks challenge to chase.
Aquarium / Fish Tank
New Decor Item: A brand-new Fish Tank has been added to the Akei Shop, with real swimming fish and water that actually moves. Perfect for the high-roller lounge.
New Robot Event
Beep Boop: A brand-new Robot event has joined the game. Keep an eye on your floor.
Quality of Life & Balance
Shelf Contents at a Glance: Your inventory now shows which items are sitting in your shelves, so you no longer have to walk over and check.
Higher Mouse Sensitivity Ceiling: Maximum mouse sensitivity has been raised from 5 to 8 for players who like it fast.
Cleaner Inventory Layout: Moved the placed-items marker to the right side of the inventory slot.
Nicer Coin Pickups: Updated the way coins fly toward you when you collect your money.
Roulette Audio: The roulette table now has its own sound.
Wardrobe Change: The female strippers no longer wear heels.
Everything new comes with its own quests and upgrades, so Guided Mode walks you into the new content naturally.
