Greetings to everyone from the shores of Blackreef!
We are here to talk about our final content update before the full release. With this update, we have finally brought a mechanic to the game that we've been wanting to add for a long time: SPELLCASTING!
This update includes a series of new features that will make playing the game much more convenient for you. Here is what we've added to the game with this update.
Spellcasting
We have added spells that you can activate using the Necronomicon to aid you in the game. You will be able to cast these via the Necronomicon.
Call of the Storm: With this spell, you can instantly change the weather to stormy. This will give you an advantage during fishing quests and when you are focusing on fishing activities.
Call of the Cursed Ship: With this spell, you no longer need to wait for cursed ships. You will be able to summon a cursed ship at any time, day or night. Unlike the normal fax system, you will summon it directly from the Necronomicon. As always, the shipyard must be empty of any other ships for the cursed ship to dock.
The Arms of the Depths: With this spell, the most basic tasks on ships—garbage collection and surface cleaning—will be done automatically by these arms. When this spell is active, two arms will appears from your body and assist you as you approach task areas. While the arms handle the cleaning and garbage collection, you can focus on other tasks.
Market Servant: With this spell, you can create a ethereal copy of yourself to attend to the market customers coming to your shop. This way, even if you are not there, the spirit copy will continue to interact with customers and make sales for you. Meanwhile, you will be able to continue stocking products in areas outside the spirit's area of effect. For example, if the spirit is taking products from the mussel sack, you must wait for it to finish its task first. Products under the spirit's control will be covered with a black shroud, and you will not be able to touch those items during that time.
Crafting and Loot
You will find one of each of these spells in the cursed locations within the game. In each location, you will earn a spell charge via a different scroll. Additionally, you can craft these spells yourself at the altar area located in the basement. To do this, you must first repair the altar area.
