Hello explorers,
It's been a couple of weeks since the launch of The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu. We hope you've been enjoying the special kind of chaos that can only be brought by cosmic entities beyond our understanding and if you think you've started to understand how things work, then we're going to have to do something about that.
Foreshadowing aside, we've had a lot of feedback about the tools players have at their disposal to deal with the Mound. This is a short patch, but with some big changes. The largest of which is the addition of a block ability, that will help you avoid getting overrun by the creatures coming for you.
We're aware that this could have a big effect on the balance and difficulty of the game. So we're going to be monitoring how it lands, so sound off in the comments section about how it feels in-game.
1.02 Patch Notes
Critical / Important:
Fix for players seeing low performance in Ultra Settings when re-launching the game
Fix for multiple enemies of the same class spawning in some missions
Progress recovery tool for all platforms based on achievement / trophies progress.
New block function (Q on Keyboard or RB/R1 on controller)
Fixed Saints not loading after missions (which was introduced in patch 1)
Fixed no knives appearing when playing the game in Single-Player
Improvements / Minor changes:
Reduced Saints blessing costs
Slight increase for tokens given for contract tiers
Rescuing a character in the mainland means a contract is successful regardless of whether or not the treasure was returned
Migo enemy captures players for less time in Single-Player
Fixed weapon appearance in ultrawide configurations
Captain now uses some dialogue lines which were previously not being used
Fix for torches losing flame
Improvements to local voice (some issues remain that we're looking into)

Fix for losing progress on PS5
