Hello expeditioners,
We're dropping our first hotfix for The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu onto Steam.
This patch is designed to address a lot of the issues that people have encountered since release. There are some improvements to optimisation & camera selection, bug fixes, balance, Crossplay (particularly finding lobbies with your friends) and more.
PLEASE NOTE: If you've been playing on the beta branch, you may need to restart your Steam client or revert back to the default beta branch. If you need a refresher on how to do that, you can find it here.

Key Changes:
Improved performance profiles for PC
Added server setting to be able to find sessions using a password
Ability to organise items in your own inventory with a mouse during interactions with the wagon added
Modified the Saints shop so these are no longer bought at the woodshop. Saints are now equipped for a smaller cost at the ox wagon before an expedition
Added a pre-configuration screen on first launch letting players choose a cinematic camera or a standard camera (standard camera may help with feelings of delayed interaction or motion sickness)
Key bindings are now saved between sessions
Balance
"Censer mission" updated with several improvements. Purple corruption areas modified and are slower to kill players.
Crawling canopy enemy (spider) does 50% less damage.
Added a machete to starting gear of all missions so players are never stuck with only knives.
Adjustments to general enemy damage difficulty
Slightly buffed stamina and run speed when tired.
Knives do slightly more damage.
Pole weapons have a bit more range.
Enemies take longer to spawn when the forest wakes up.
Bug Fixes
Fixed replication for some death animations, which was causing T-posing.
Fixed replication of the "bleeding" state on clients who were not seeing the effect.
Fixed cases of players getting stuck on walls after climbing.
Fixed "Game Saving" icon not being displayed with some events.
Fixed motion blur setting slider.
Fixed Mi-Go enemy behavior which did not cause them to search for players, so they rarely showed up in game sessions.
Fixed a crash related to isolation fog.
Fixed many other minor bugs.
Misc
Added far LODs for many areas where pop-in was visible.
Optimisation improvements for console versions
We also have two known issues that will be resolved in a following patch:
Saints are disappearing after one expedition unless you restart a lobby
Issues where mics are not correctly being picked up in-game
This goes alongside other things that the team are looking into like combat feel and the tools you have to deal with the threats this cursed jungle sends your way. Stay tuned for more information on what's next!
