Yeah. We can't believe it either.
Episode 01 “Open Cage” is our first real Multiplayer update! It Introduces the cage fighting scene of low-town New Brakka - just before the final events of the single player campaign change New Brakka forever.
Our plan is to keep developing, tightening and expanding the game as we unfold the story towards… well, if you don’t know and don’t mind single player spoilers, watch this.
This update is just the beginning. We still have lots of plans and lots to improve, and tbh we have no idea where this crazy plan - to develop the game and the story side by side - will take us! But YOU, our brattas, are a huge part of it. We hope you come find out with us.
So what’s in Episode 01?
PVP!
Episode 01 takes all of UNDERDOGS' crunchy, physics-based combat, and recreates it in wild, skillbased, painful PvP, introducing a whole new moveset.
The fighting cages are finally open! In New Brakka every other bratta has a street mech, and on a normal weeknight you’ll find them in their block’s fighting cage hanging and banging.
This is YOUR city
We built an entire new control scheme for the multiplayer mechs! You can run, jump, hang and climb on everything you see.
The street mechs in New Brakka are like urban monkeys. These machines are built to get around in a giant, vertical hive-city: To jump from roof to roof, climb up a building from balcony to balcony, and run down highways jumping from lane to lane.
PIMP YOUR MECH
Your mech is your own, ain’t no other like it. Our new Garage lets you paint your mech however you fucking want using over 50 paints, stencils and stickers - and this is just the very beginning!
The mech scene is flashy AF - your look and reputation precede you. It’s a way to show you got cash, style and taste. It’s the image that will get carved into your enemies’ retina’s when you stand above their broken mechs in the cage and shove their own dismembered arm into their shattered cockpit.
UNDERDOGS has always been a celebration of aggression, physicality and adrenaline. Since the day it was launched, we’ve been dying to find out what it’s like to do all that - but with friends.
Episode 01 “Open Cage” is where this answer begins. So come show your brattas how much you love them by punching them in the face.
