As promised in last week’s DevBlog, Nemesis #8 - School’s Out! is being fast-tracked for a launch in the not-too-distant future this summer.
That means it's high time we took another look at Nemesis #8 - School’s Out!’s two divisions, checking out their latest models, and see if (and what) has changed since the original proposal late last year.
First up is the Warsaw Pact’s 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya or 71st Reserve Tank Division.
Let’s go!
Nemesis #8 - School’s Out!
Let’s refresh some memories. Nemesis #8 - School’s Out was the most recent community-voted Nemesis to go into Eugen production, as part of the Nemesis - Second Chance vote. This upcoming DLC will feature two battlegroups with Instructor-class units, featuring NATO’s West German VfgTrpKdo 42 and the Warsaw Pact’s 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya.

You can find all the juicy details and full unit and category breakdown of both divisions in the DevBlog below.
Nemesis #6.3 - School’s Out!
One of the key distinguishing features of Nemesis #8 is the abundance of Instructor-type units. These are units composed of seasoned advisors and teachers, specialized in the training of recruits and other forces. Instructors grant nearby units of the same type (so INF only affects INF units, TNK only TNK) a +1 Veterancy level (and remove any negative modifiers associated with the Reservist trait).

71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya in Brief
Back to the Warsaw Pact and the 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya. As a mobilization division based far from the front lines in Omsk, Russia, this Soviet reservist formation would have been called up for duty only if the war dragged on for weeks or months. However, if full combat readiness was to be achieved, quite a few personnel from the nearby Omsk Higher Tank Engineering School and Omsk Higher Combined Arms Command School were to be employed to lead the thousands of conscripts and reservists assigned to this division.

In brief, this Instructor-heavy battlegroup will feature several new units. These include, amongst others, the BTR-50PUM-1 APC, INSTRUKTORY infantry squads (with Instructor trait), as well as INSTRUKTORY T-64A, INSTRUKTORY T-72A, and INSTRUKTORY T-72B Obr. 89 tanks, BTR-55 heavy APCs, and a variety of new REZ., or Reservist units, from infantry to tanks to weapon teams. The list continues with BTS-4A ZU-23-2 SPAAGs, the ZIL-135M S-60, and older Su-24 strike aircraft in a variety of loadouts.

71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya Changes
We have made the following updates to the 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya.
LOG
- Since we have modeled the ZIL-135M chassis for the S-60 carrier, we opted to make a new logistic variant, which will replace the previously announced KRAZ-225B in the divisional heavy supply role.
INF
- To give the division a bit more punch in the infantry department, we created a new REZERVISTI (BMP) squad, coming in ZIL-157 trucks or the new REZ. BMP-1, armed with a first-generation Malyutka ATGM and sporting the Reservist trait.

REC
- We have also added a new unit and model to the division’s recon forces, in the form of the R-330P PIRAMIDA-1 jammer vehicle.

AA
- Although the 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya already featured a quite substantial number of AA guns in the original proposal, it lacked a proper long-range deterrent. That’s why we’ve added the S-125 NEVA towed SAM, which will be presented in a two-missile variant (not the four-missile NEVA-M from the Nemesis #7 - State of Emergency’s DON-100 battlegroup).

AIR
- And lastly, next to the AT, SEAD, and HE loadouts we had planned for the SU-24, we are considering adding another heavy RKT loadout with a whopping 8x S-25O 420mm rockets!
