We know you love to get the inside scoop, and there was no better occasion to share some juicy tidbits with you than Ankama's 25th Anniversary Convention! During a dedicated livestream, we presented a number of topics we are currently working on, which will be added in upcoming updates.
"Work in progress" alert: The various concepts outlined here don't necessarily reflect the final result you'll see in the game and are subject to change.
Crimson Dofus and Ignemikhal
As was announced during the Ankama Show Time stream, a new Primordial Dofus will be added to the game very shortly, and it's none other than the dragon Ignemikhal's Crimson Dofus!
In the next update, you'll have the opportunity to discover a brand-new quest that will take you to this coveted, fiery treasure. You'll have to stand tall, because this adventure will lead to you facing the imposing Ignemikhal. It's sure to be one fierily contested fight!
Bellaphone
At a transmedia conference, we had the opportunity to make a shock announcement regarding Ankama's various games – the introduction of the new Bellaphone class to WAKFU, DOFUS, and DOFUS Touch.
We've put together a special video all about this class and the mysteries surrounding it:
As you can see, this class will be really original and innovative, because it draws its energy from its bond with the primordial dragons! New mechanics have been in development for a few months now.
In WAKFU, players will be able to play as a Bellaphone at the end of 2026, which is sure to be an exceptional year. In the meantime, there are still a few Dofus-themed Seasons to come. You might just learn more about the history of the Source and the Bellaphones!
Forgelance
As we know, the arrival of the Bellaphones will make the most observant of you ask one question in particular. What about the Forgelances? Bellaphones will be the 19th class in WAKFU, whereas in DOFUS, it's the Forgelances.
Adding a new class is a huge undertaking, which – back when Forgelances were introduced in DOFUS – didn't align with the team's priorities. At that time, we were focused on improving what was already in the game, with the work on completely revamping the classes.
This work is almost finished, so we wanted to let you know that we haven't forgotten the Forgelances and that it's quite possible they could be WAKFU's future 20th class.
Class Balancing
The WAKFU team is paying particular attention to class balancing, and – as mentioned above – we've almost finished the cycle of complete revamps. Pandawas are the only ones left to do!
Just because this cycle is finishing, it doesn't mean we'll stop making changes to the classes, because it's an ongoing process. We'll keep adjusting, improving, and fine-tuning the classes so they are all enjoyable to play and easy to get to grips with.
During our livestream, we also took the opportunity to tell you about our plans for Update 1.93 for the Pandawa, Sacrier, Feca, and Rogue classes.
Pandawa
This will be a complete overhaul of the class, with more passives and better-developed core mechanics. We want to make sure the Pandawa class remains simple and fun, but we're planning to add modern tools to it and make it more effective in its damage and support roles. We can't wait to show you what we're working on!
Sacrier
Sacriers are currently struggling to find a suitable role within teams. We're planning to work on a few individual spells to make the class more useful as part of a group. We also want to make it more effective by replacing Hearts – which can sometimes be hard to use effectively in real-world situations – with more powerful and reliable built-in mechanics.
Feca
When it comes to the Feca class, we would like to work on simplifying things. The way glyphs and shields work is hard for new players to grasp, and the inflexible class tools aren't counterbalanced by equally rich gameplay.
Rogue
The Rogue class can sometimes be restrictive to play because of the Ruse spell and Runaway and Sneaky modes. Our idea is to make these Rogue modes more organic and dynamic while making the class's gameplay and spells more flexible.
We can't guarantee we'll be able to include everything in Update 1.93, but we felt it was crucial to let you know our plans for the classes. As for erosion – the new mechanic we presented in Beta 1.92 before removing it – we aren't committed to a date for implementing it. We want to incorporate it into the game as soon as possible, but we want to work on various classes and dungeons first so we can offer a satisfying experience.
New Skins and Alternative Animations
We're not done with classes just yet! Starting from the next update, the Sadida and Cra classes will each get a new skin and alternative combat animations.
Sadida
We wanted to give Sadidas a smarter-looking skin to maximize the range of customization options, in addition to the basic skin. We took the opportunity to make some new haircuts available.
Here is some of our graphic designers' concept art, together with the accepted proposals:

Players will be able to choose to fight with a cursed staff at their class temples in Bonta, allowing them to enjoy new animations for their spells in combat!

Cra
For Cras, we're preparing an alternative skin featuring clothes made from fur, together with a hood. The current design isn't as developed as the Sadida one, but we can't wait for you to see the final result:
Just like Cleome, Cras will be able to wield a wrist crossbow to riddle their enemies with bolts during fights!

Interfaces
We're continuing to work on modernizing the interfaces! Today, we would like to share two new things with you, which are still in the planning stages. First, here is the new dialogue interface:
Next, the profession interface is becoming larger and easier to read:
We are currently working on the design of these features, which is why we are not committing to a release date for the time being. We can't wait for work on the interfaces to resume!
Adaptive Resources
We're unveiling one of the first improvements to WAKFU's environments! Later this year, we want to implement an adaptive resource system. You'll be able to plant different trees in different areas, and their appearance will adapt to the biome in which they are planted.
This idea may seem insignificant, but it ties in with many of the ideas we intend to implement as part of our efforts to revitalize the environment and – more generally – the World of Twelve! Soil fertility is one of the cornerstones that lets WAKFU players interact with the world, shape it, and make sure their actions have a lasting impact.
New Families to Breed
Starting in Update 1.93
We're taking it up a notch – at least 25 new families, just as many Lucky Charms, more than 90 all-new creatures to breed, a whole host of buildings, and much more. That's what's in store in the next WAKFU update!
As announced, we intend to continuously improve the Haven Paddock system, expand it, enhance it, and more. And it won't stop with Update 1.93!

In the Game Now!
To mark the occasion, a new souliquary is available now to help you raise a whole new family of creatures! They're the Moogrrs, WAKFU's iconic monsters.
