A new set of specialist cards (SP12) has been added to the game, with one card per class. The quest can be started with Commander Ellyk in Dimension Rift 1.
The specialist card Achilles has been added for Swordsmen. This specialist uses the crossbow to attack. This decision was made to provide more variety and spice for Swordsmen. Since this class already has the Berserker and Death Reaper specialists, and otherwise only the Crusader uses the secondary weapon, introducing another specialist which uses the secondary weapon allows for more character customisation. It will also give the gameplay more longevity. This specialist is kitted out with lots of debuffs, and designed to maximise range, while dealing the greatest amount of damage in various areas of the game.
Archers get the Admiral Yi specialist card. This specialist uses the dagger to attack. Again, this decision was made to introduce more variety. The Archer already has the Scout and Ranger specialists which are excellent single-target damage dealers in PvP. This specialist is instead designed to be capable of dealing with hordes of monsters in quick fashion. They can inflict large amounts of damage to enemies in all areas of the game in short order with rapid attacks.
The specialist card Merlin has been added for Mages. Once more, this specialist uses their secondary weapon, the spell gun. Following SP11, we learned how having a hybrid specialist who uses both primary and secondary weapons can be problematic, hence why this specialist will only use the secondary weapon. This specialist serves as a hybrid damage/support class, with a variety of buffs and debuffs at its disposal.
The Thor specialist card has been added for Martial Artists. As per the others, this specialist also uses its secondary weapon to attack. After the successful introduction of the Thunderer, we made the decision that this water specialist would attack with its secondary weapon, as the Martial Artist already has the Mystic Arts specialist card. This specialist bolsters raid teams with buffs and debuffs, while also being able to deal out lashings of damage.
