Dorfromantik – Head to Head is a competitive boardgame for two players in a convenient travel-sized format. It offers a quick round of Dorfromantik for everyone who enjoys putting their skills to the test against each other. Perfect for fast-paced, exciting duels, and for anyone who loves drafting games.
We recently shared that a South Seas Edition is on the way for the Dorfromantik boardgame series. And today, we are excited to reveal another upcoming title: Dorfromantik – Head to Head. Designed specifically for two players, Dorfromantik – Head to Head brings the familiar peaceful landscape-building of Dorfromantik into a quick, friendly head-to-head competition.
A Fast-Paced Drafting Game for Two
In Dorfromantik – Head to Head, both players compete to create their own high-scoring landscapes. The twist: We’ve added elements of a drafting game, so you’ll build your own winning stacks.
1 - DRAFTING
At the start of the game, the tiles are placed in the middle of the table. During the selection phase, the two opponents take turns choosing one tile at a time.
All tiles are laid out face up, and the two players take turns choosing either a landscape tile or a task tile. Of course, you can keep an eye on your opponent and snatch away important tiles they might need. But will those tiles be useful for you, too?
Once all tiles have been chosen, each player creates their own landscape stack and task stack from the tiles they picked.
2 - PLAYING
Once your stacks are complete, each of you plays your own game of Dorfromantik following the familiar rules. Each player reveals a tile and adds it to their personal landscape. That’s when you’ll find out whether you chose the right tiles.
At the end of the game, you score points for completing forest, fields, and village objectives, building the longest river in your own landscape, and placing flags in completed areas.

For the Competitive Side of Dorfromantik
We know that for some of you, Dorfromantik is first and foremost a calm and personal experience: a chance to slow down, build a beautiful world, and simply enjoy creating something at your own pace. For others, the joy comes from chasing a new high score, climbing leaderboards, optimizing every move, and seeing how far you can push your skills.
With Dorfromantik – Head to Head, we wanted to give that competitive side of the community even more to enjoy in the boardgame series. The game keeps the calm and charming visual identity of Dorfromantik, but adds the tension of a close race for points. It is still a friendly competition rather than a confrontation-heavy game. Two players building their own worlds side by side, each trying to make the best use of the landscape in front of them.
