Last months I've been improving the new player experience of the game. My goal was to remove friction when discovering the game with some new features:
I added a proper tutorial with a specific map and heroes. This way it's easier for me to better control the first experience with the game. Don't hesitate to let me know if you would like more steps added to it.
I improved combats by adding enemies attack ranges and changing the way we can choose the initial heroes positions.
I've spend quite a lot of time chasing potential crashes, hopefully it should be a lot better now.
I also improved the construction part by adding more indicators and ghosts of what is being constructed.
And of course I'm always interested by your feedback on this topic, so don't hesitate to let me know how I can still improve this new player experience!
This time I've been updating the game step by step instead of making a big update with everything, and that's probably the way I'll continue updating the game. Working this way gives me more flexibility and at the same time I'm able to correct and adjust features more easily as they're integrated one by one.
Now it's time for some vacations, then I should be back with new mechanics!
