Here's the list of changes in Angeldust v3.36:

Anarchy Zone!

The Anarchy Zone is Angeldust's first open-build, PvP area. You'll find it in your telecharger, or type '/az' in the chat to go there. It features a beautiful central castle as your starting point, although it doesn't look like it today:

Hide and Seek

Angeldust now features a 'hide and seek' mechanic everywhere. Start hiding using the Quick Messages menu (F and then Space Bar) or by typing '/hs' in chat. After a few seconds you'll go into hiding mode with a dreamlike overlay:

You can move around slowly while hidden. Non-hiding players can find you, after which you'll stand up and see a chat message. While hidden your tamed and ridden creatures will hide, too. It's great fun to hide in parts of wonders, so gather your friends and start playing!

A small note: wild creatures in the game world are still able to sniff you out when hiding so it's not a way to evade combat.

Limited Issue

The block picker will now show the height of trees and objects:

Upon picking an object or tree Angeldust now remembers its height and applies it to newly placed ones. Using this I very rapidly placed a ton of cacti that are 'two tall' (har har):

Gameplay Improvements

In Angeldust v3.36 you can (finally!) place builder devices closer together if they are different types. It also means that scouts can finally place web traps even if builders are around. It's much more fun to play together with multiple builders and scouts now:

More builder improvements: the hammer now affects ALL devices in range. Upgrading devices is now deterministic so you don't have to swing for ages anymore. The bomb does more damage.

And for the scout and sorceress: projectile hit boxes and collisions have been much improved. You can now actually hit things. So improve. Much wow!

Another Dimension

The Options Menu's 'Advanced' section now has a switch for 2D or 3D entity details. 2D is what you knew. 3D brings player names, health bars and more into 3D space for a cleaner look:

Very Effective

Angeldust v3.36 tweaks some sprite effects: hero damage is now consistently colored orange everywhere, creature healing is now blue. Damage particles (like fur, feathers and scales) now initially glow in red. Hit sparks now have a bit of movement to increase liveliness and visibility.

Performance Art

Angeldust v3.36 has major performance improvements, especially at higher view distances. It also fixes engine freezes when loading in new game areas, this was noticeable in Rye Games' excellent video covering Angeldust, starting at the 10-minute mark:

World of Wonder

Speaking of loading performance improvements, the Angeldust website now hosts an 'Angeldust Wonder Chunks' file that contains full game world data for all wonders. Get it from the 'About' page:
