Hello everyone,
today we are taking a look at the signs in the upcoming England DLC for Fernbus Simulator. In the new screenshots, you can see different motorway and city signs that have already been integrated into the game world and placed along the new routes.
Signs on the motorways

On the motorways, you will find large road signs spanning multiple lanes. They show destinations, junctions, services and important connections. During placement, we make sure that the signs fit the respective road, direction of travel and surrounding area.

Signage plays an important role before exits and junctions. The signs need to be visible from the right distance and match the lane layout, so it is clear which lane leads to which destination.

Many of these signs make the routes easier to read, as exits, directions and destinations become more clearly visible. Especially on longer motorway sections, they also create recognizable points along the route.
Signs in the cities

There are also various signs within the cities. These include directions to districts, ring roads, parking areas, hospitals and important road connections.

City signs differ noticeably from the large motorway signs. They are often smaller, placed closer to intersections or roundabouts and need to be adapted more closely to the surrounding area.

The implementation is not only about the text on the signs. Colors, font sizes, arrows, spacing, materials, supports and the exact position along the road also need to match the specific situation.
The screenshots show a current look at the development of the England DLC. Some details may still change before release.
The England DLC will include more than 18 cities, a new bus, new liveries and many specially created buildings.
