It's been a while since our last update. Our team is currently continuing the final stretch of development for Early Access. We plan to share details about the schedule separately through an announcement soon. As always, thank you for your interest and support!
Rather than new content, today's patch focuses on interface improvements that had been lower on our priority list until now.
Changes
- You can now select smooth fonts for each language.
- Smooth fonts are slightly less consistent with the game's overall style than the existing pixel fonts, but they make the game easier to play on low-resolution devices.
- Smooth fonts are selected by default when running the game on Steam Deck.
- Improved UI readability at HD (1280x720) resolution.
- Fixed a bug where the 'start' button was included among the remappable keys when remapping gamepad inputs on Steam Deck.
- Improved the weapon tooltip UI—categories are now divided into separate tabs.
- Improved various text translations.
- Allied units in an 'alliance' relationship now display a heart marker during combat for friend-or-foe identification.
- Made several improvements to controller UI usability and bugs.
- When using a controller, the border of the currently selected UI element now blinks.
- Fixed a bug where the +/- actions in the fruit skewer UI behaved incorrectly with a controller.
- Fixed a bug where a blinking indicator remained in the center of the screen after closing the multiplayer UI while using a controller.
- When using a controller, the border of the currently selected UI element now blinks.
- You can now check your 'current fruit skewer' in the stats UI.
- Improved an issue where the game would instantly crash from a black screen when launched in environments with limited DirectX 12 support.
- Improved an issue where the game would fail to run properly when some corrupted language files failed to load.
- Fixed a bug where enemies with super armor would not take fall damage when falling into a pit.
- Fixed an issue where some floors would occasionally fail to load properly.
- Fixed a bug where overwriting the current preset configuration did not work correctly.
Notice Regarding Multiplayer Bugs
Please be aware in advance that, compared to previous versions, various bugs may occur when connecting to or disconnecting from multiplayer. This is due to the 'reconnect' feature—alongside new content, we're developing a feature that lets players who disconnected mid-game reconnect if their existing session is still alive. The basic functionality is now implemented, but since much of the game's network code has changed, we're conducting QA testing with our partners. As a result, please note that various bugs may occur during the multiplayer connection/disconnection process.
Thank you.
