The Finish Line is in Sight The team has been working hard this year to deliver the second (and biggest) update to Paleo Pines that will be releasing FREE to all players in the next few weeks!
The final game build is officially out of our hands and currently with our publisher for final QA! Once it passes this stage, we will finally be able to share an official launch date with you all. Â Unfortunately due to the nature of bugs and platform submissions, we just can't confirm a date before submissions are officially erm... submitted. Â
• Added Dino Designer colours and patterns.Â
• Added a dinosaur 'skin tracker' to the journal to help you find every color and pattern.
• You can track one specific dinosaur color/pattern combo. The next time a dinosaur spawns with that rarity, it's guaranteed to be the one you're looking for.
• Added rarity filtering and a search box to Mari's dinosaur records, and a button to permanently erase a dinosaur from her records.
• Small dinos can now be assigned to composters to pick up poop for you.
• Clearers can now clear poop, although you won't get the fertilizer from it.
• Small dinos will now automatically collect nearby wild collectables and carry them for you.
• Added new backer-designed crops: Meadowstar, Fiddlehead Fern, Rainbow Tree, and Rainbow Cacao Tree.
• Added new recipes: Bean Surprise and Rainbow Cake.
• Added backer-designed ranch decor items: Stegosaurus plushie, rainbow plant pot, rainbow table, archway, fossil wall, Postosuchus statue, and tall grass.
• Added backer-designed ranch house colors: Rainbow and Selkie.
• Added a backer-designed Memorial Garden area to Dapplewood.Â
• Added new carvings to Dapplewood (once Marlo's storyline is sufficiently advanced).
• Added a compass item to help find secrets and get home if you're lost.
• Added a button to auto-sort the inventory.
• Added a button in the journal to skip to the next time-of-day.
• Added a setting to change the sprint control to a toggle.
• It's now possible to cancel town board quests.
• Added all of our Kickstarter backers to the in-game credits.
• Adjusted sprint speeds for Parasaurolophus, Megalosaurus, Utahraptor, and Postosuchus.
• Boosted wood rewards from smashing logs and diving.[p align="start"]At this stage, I have a lot of people to thank, starting with the incredible Paleo Pines development team.  Led by Rob and Abigail, they graciously revisited the world of Paleo Pines to bring your Kickstarter vision to life. Not only did they deliver on the core promises, but they also went the extra mile to add small adjustments and tweaks across the board just to make the entire game a smoother, better experience for our ranchers. And I think they loved (nearly) every second of it. [p align="start"]A giant thank you goes out to our backers. The gorgeous designs and creative ideas you contributed have inspired us endlessly throughout this process.  In fact, I think that you have made us all fall in love with Paleo Pines again and also generally restored our faith in humanity.  This update truly belongs to you and I wish every person was as kind and lovable as you all are.
