The Custom Difficulty Update launched just over a week ago, but we're already hard at work on what's coming next.
New Ghosts
Our next major update introduces 7 brand-new ghost types for Identify, each inspired by real-world folklore and designed with unique behaviors that will challenge even experienced investigators.
Nas Nas
Known for its relentless speed, the Nas Nas darts and lunges with unpredictable bursts of movement, losing distances in an instant, and turning any encounter into a race.
Ataphoi
A restless spirit from ancient Greek lore, believed to bring misfortune and sickness to the living. Investigators report rarely seeing the Ataphoi in full form.
Hupia
A spirit from Tino folklore, the Hupia is a nocturnal spirit, known to be incredibly active after-dark. Investigators report feeling ill-prepared for the aggression the Hupia shows.
Wiederganger
A spirit that returns to the living world with unfinished business, the Wiederganger is tied to vengeance, or unrest, bringing increased dread to those who seek it out.
Marid
A powerful spirit from Arabic folklore, the Marid is believed to wield great supernatural influence, bringing misfortune and twisting outcomes to those who encounter it.
The Sluagh
A host of restless spirits in Irish and Scottish folklore, said to travel together as a dark force.
The Púca
Known for its unpredictable and mischievous nature, often toying with the living for its own amusement.
Each ghost will have their own behaviors, unique to their real-life lore.
New Equipment & Evidence
Alongside these new ghosts comes one of our most requested additions.
Wireless Camcorder
The Wireless Camcorder will allow investigators to monitor locations remotely, working seamlessly with our surveillance systems to open up new investigative strategies.
Ghost Orbs
Ghost Orbs are joining the evidence roster, but not in the way you might expect. Rather than feeling like simple floating particles, we're designing them to behave naturally and feel genuinely unsettling when spotted.

Two New Locations
The McGavin House
Explore a beautifully preserved early 19th-century home where history and horror intertwine. Though officially remembered as the estate of an unsolved murder, those willing to dig a little deeper may discover that the truth has been waiting nearly two centuries to be uncovered.
Blackmeadow Farm
Nestled in the countryside, The Blackmeadow Farm has been home to the same family for generations. Recently however, unexplained disturbances have transformed daily life into a nightmare. Strange noises echo through the barn after dark, shadows moving through the halls, and the family insists they are no longer alone.
Why the Wait?
We know many of you are eager to jump into this update, and so are we... But these aren't features we want to rush.
Every ghost is being carefully designed to stay as faithful as possible to the folklore that inspired it. Ghost Orbs are receiving extra attention to ensure they feel believable rather than distracting, and the Wireless Camcorder is being built to integrate naturally into the investigation experience.
We'll announce a release date once we're confident the update is ready.
