Demonologist – Patch Notes v2.1.0
Hello Demonologists,
A new update has arrived, bringing two brand-new investigation areas, over 200 new events, gameplay improvements, communication system updates, optimization work, and much more.
New Content
New Maps
Oakville Street has been added to the game. Built around the atmosphere of Demonologist's earlier investigations, Oakville Street offers a familiar blend of suspense, exploration, and paranormal activity while introducing plenty of new scares to uncover.
Oakville Library has been added to the game. Oakville Library brings a different kind of fear. The vast halls, towering shelves, and eerie silence create a constant sense of unease, making every investigation feel tense from beginning to end.
New Events
More than 200 new sequences have been added across Oakville Street and Oakville Library.
Facility Update
The Snatcher has escaped from the Facility.
New Cosmetics
New outfits have been added and are now available for purchase.
Emote System
A brand-new Emote System has been added.
Gameplay & Systems
Voice Communication Rework
The in-game voice communication system has been updated.
Dead players and living players can no longer hear each other.
Voice volume now decreases based on player distance.
Players who are far enough apart will no longer be able to hear each other at all.
Chat System Rework
The chat system has been updated.
Dead and living players now have separate chat channels.
Dead players can see messages from both living and dead players.
Living players can only see messages from other living players.
Focus System
Fixed an issue that allowed players to move forward and backward while focusing on the screen.
Chromatic Aberration will now automatically be disabled while focusing.

Animations for several tools have been revised:

User Experience
Loading Screen Improvements
The loading screen has been completely revamped both visually and technically.
Players will now encounter different map images during loading regardless of which map they are entering.
Audio Improvements
The walking sound played while crouching has been replaced and its volume has been reduced.
Fixes & Improvements
Various visual and design issues have been fixed.
Overall game optimization improvements have been implemented.
Collision issues on several maps have been resolved.
Lighting adjustments have been made on selected maps.
Fixed an issue where held items could clip into walls while crouching near surfaces.
Fixed an issue that caused custom control settings to reset after restarting the game.
Various localization fixes and improvements have been implemented.
Achievements
New achievements have been added.
