Two years ago, four janitors picked up a mop and walked into their first haunted house.
Today, we're throwing open the gates to the biggest update Ghost Janitors has ever had.
V2.0.0 brings a brand-new map, a brand-new ghost, a fully reworked cleaning system, new tools and tasks, and a long list of fixes and improvements. The lights are dimming. The big top is open.

🎪 NEW MAP — THE CIRCUS
Welcome to our biggest map yet. Silent carousels, abandoned tents, and a big top that hasn't seen an audience in years, but something down here is still performing in the dark. The Circus is a sprawling new playground of haunted attractions, with more ground to cover, more places to hide, and a lot more places for something to hide from you.

🤡 NEW GHOST — THE JESTER
Every circus has a ringmaster, and this one wants you to play. The Jester can summon multiple clones of himself to chase and terrify your crew, but only the real Jester can land the killing blow. Figure out which one is real before the punchline lands.
🧹 REWORKED CLEANING SYSTEM
The entire cleaning system has been rebuilt from the ground up with brand-new animations that make every scrub, wipe, and sweep feel more grounded and satisfying.
🔨 NEW TASKS & A NEW TOOL
Three new tasks join the rotation, along with a brand-new tool: the Hammer. New jobs, and new ways to fix what the dark keeps breaking.
🎒 INVENTORY & TEAMWORK
Your tool inventory has gone from 3 slots down to 2, with an optional perk that unlocks a third. Fewer slots means you can't carry everything yourself anymore: co-op teams now have to split the gear, coordinate who brings what, and actually rely on each other to get a house cleaned. More realism, more teamwork.
The inventory box is now hidden by default and only appears when you have a tool equipped, for a cleaner HUD.
💀 RESPAWN RITUAL REWORKED
The respawn ritual is smoother now. Ritual items go straight into your inventory, no more holding "E" to keep them on you. Carry speed for ritual objects is also back to normal, so reviving a teammate no longer slows you to a crawl.
✨ VISUAL & QUALITY OF LIFE
New black-screen intro when you first spawn into the lobby
The inventory box is now hidden and only shows when a tool is equipped
The generator's red/green light is now much easier to read
Adjusted the light intensity at the Graveyard starting gate
Updated the second page of the lobby info board
⚡ PERFORMANCE
FPS optimizations when starting a game for a smoother launch into each match
🛠️ BUG FIXES
Fixed the chase chromatic aberration sometimes snapping on instantly instead of fading in/out
Fixed the chase chromatic aberration sometimes staying on even after the chase had ended
Fixed the female flashlight appearing instantly in-hand with no pickup animation
Fixed a mannequin sometimes killing players on spawn even while being looked at
Fixed a mannequin's footsteps being silent for the first 3 seconds after spawning
Fixed respawn-ritual items that sometimes couldn't be picked up
Fixed ghost chase audio sometimes lingering after they despawned in the light
Fixed the AI hugging walls during a chase
Fixed the "Waiting for other players" screen occasionally getting stuck
🌍 LOCALIZATION
Fixed several translations across multiple languages
That's V2.0.0, two years in the making and the biggest leap the game has taken yet. Thank you for cleaning haunted houses with us since day one. None of this exists without you.
