Hello all! What a wild and wonderful few weeks it’s been since Momento launched on Steam! And as wonderful as it is, this is just the beginning. We wanted to share our Roadmap for what comes next for Momento, starting with an update today that will offer Level Select and more.

Wall of Memories
You may notice that the first item says it’s live TODAY! And you’d be right. We had an overwhelming amount of people ask us for a way to view their progress, and a way to replay levels. So we’ve come up with a solution that doesn’t sacrifice the story, but allows you to complete puzzles, revisit levels that you choose, and see the full view of potential paths.
So let’s dive into the key details of we’re calling The Wall of Memories:
You’ll be able to see a full map of all the levels and the paths from each one so you can make sure you’re choosing the right paths to get to the ending you’re looking for. It’ll be available from the Main Menu, so you’ll be able to check it easily.
When you click in, you’ll be able to hover over each level, which will show you percentage complete, as well as which Momentos you chose, and which paths they correspond to.
That being said—this is an alternate way to play levels, but doesn’t replace Story Mode.
You can’t open levels that you haven’t played through in Story Mode
Key items will be available so you can pick the ones you missed
This will allow you to hop into a level to complete a puzzle that you might have missed, or replay that level without having to go through the story again
After each level, you’ll return to the Wall instead of progressing

Updates
The Wall of Memories (aka Level Select) is here!
Starting Affinity Chests now change to match your toy of choice. The magical toy box now has a custom style based on your childhood toy.
Level select camera transitions in story mode now start at the previous completed room and move to the next room.
Bug fixes
Fixed issue where legacy items were getting swapped around on mid level save, causing them to move when returning to a room.
Minor items and key choices saving correctly in mid level saves, fixing issue where items were disappearing when returning to a room.
Fixed soft lock momento boxes preventing players from seeing the key choices. Adjusted the animation on them so they are always selectable even when they spawn in. Previously they were animated from 0-1 opacity but something was breaking and they were getting stuck at 0 opacity.
Recursive function improvements to prevent null exceptions and crashes
Known issues
New strings added that are not properly localised. Localisation in some of the Wall of Memory mode is temp and will be updated in a future patch once we get the localised string back from the external localisation team.
Items appearing in Bins on load. Throwing out the boxes and crates after they are unpacked into the bin is leading to items appearing in the bin.
Errors in the hint system, some puzzles like “reforged in the fire” are showing there hint button before the puzzle is solvable. Leading to confusion.
Additional HIDE ME text discovered. We are searching for the rest of these ones but they are sneaky
Still waiting to hear back from Unity regarding the particle system crashes.
Missing Audio issues, and musical instruments continuously playing. Currenting investigating.
