Dear tinkerers,
I am back after a small break after the 1.0 launch and have a lot of new content to show you.
ALL NEW MODULE TYPE: SPARK PLUG
You might recognize their effects from their former identity as passive nitro bottles that would hand out boost. Nobody loved them, so I made them stronger. They give Turbo now and have their own visual and mechanical identity.
New Module: Spark Plug: Debuff
This is an all-new design and it can get pretty wild, for example with a crust build
MODULE REWORKS
You've been loving the new passive modules of Exhaust Pipe or Coffee Pot, so I am taking this as a cue to rework some more unloved module (mostly cells that were kinda mid) to interesting passive effects.
New Module: Yo-Yo
Passive Effect now, replaces Monster Cell. (Sorry to the guy who loved Monster Cell)
New Module: Bungee Cord
Another new passive. Replaces Friendship Cell. Still very good on the slower character of two.
Reworked Module: Basic Turbine
The version that inducted on end of turn without any downside was too strong and popular.
This new one performs its effect on beginning of turn, but it comes with malfunctioning and overload in common and uncommon. Replaces Clockwork Cell and Aeolian Cell.
New Visuals: Bellows
Replaces Oil Can, but only visually
Redesigned Oil Can
Replaces Exploiting Generator.
This was our take on a "The One Ring"-Effect in Magic, where it scales well but the downside becomes more relevant for each Turbo. The Exploiting Generator was great, but it stepped on the toe of the exploiting Turbocharger.
MODULE BALANCE AND DROP RATES
I think balancing is in a great spot, with some outliers in the pick rates that I want to adress to see if we can get it even tighter.
Coil gets the -1 again. Sorry Coil Lovers, this one was an experiment and it got out of hand.
Storage Sensor only works for modules on this rack now. This is due to everbody's love for induction.
Magnets are now exclusively found in common
Auto Factory: Crusted Merger is now in uncommon (from rare)
Nitrous Dispenser gets +1 now, pick this!
Converter that comes with Grav. Vacuum is gone
Amplifier Factory comes with the universal jack now and not the storage cell factory
VARIOUS
Maybe you've seen this one already but Nana has the revitalizer now and Sol is back on the decel
Turbines have a cool wind VFX now
ACHIVEMENTS:
Added a couple of achievements, for Nana, the Mech and the late story progression
Fixed the achievement bugs (I hope?)
I am retroactively handing out achievements for character wins and story progression now
BUGFIXES:
Got Native Linux Version working again (I think?)
Worked over Factories not producing in some cases
Fixed a bug with the croc boss randomly appearing in the sewers
Fixed an interaction between storage modules and toggled storage chargers
KNOWN BUGS:
There is a recurring bug where the game simply freezes and/or crashes after a battle. If you experience this please reach out in the Discord.
