9 Kings News Recap

Patch #23 focused heavily on balancing, quest difficulty, and preparing for the multiplayer update! There is now an option to select the difficulty of quest mode:

Knight (easy)
King (medium)
Chaos (hard)

This patch also addressed the balance for a few quests that were making them harder than they were meant to be. There were also several gameplay adjustments, fixes, and QOL changes.

Patch #24 brought one of the biggest changes 9 Kings has ever seen! This update introduces multiplayer, a new way to play that has been heavily requested by the game's community. Multiplayer mode is a new asynchronous experience where you fight against nine other players and their kingdoms. This update keeps the core spirit of 9 Kings intact, allowing you to play at your own pace while facing new, interesting, and intense runs.

This update makes a bunch of other changes and additions:

Added competitive ladders so you can fight for the ultimate 9 Kings glory
Added 99+ new vanity items that you can unlock via multiplayer and use to further customize your king
Added daily missions to keep runs fresh and fun
Added a new boss and new epic ending
Added wealth of balancing, gameplay, QOL improvements, and fixes

Building on the momentum from the multiplayer update, Patch #25 continued improving the multiplayer experience. Multiplayer perks were added to continue diversifying the multiplayer experience. These replace rainbow perks with unique perks to use in multiplayer. It also made some tweaks to the calendar in multiplayer, and rebalanced how the calendar interacts with this new mode.

Rest assured that unlocks will be permanent, and your current ranks will not be erased.
