The Beach Brawl update brought a new beach-themed custom map, named Causeway, which supports skirmish and freeplay with up to 6 colonies! It also added new extra level based on this map, called Chowder. Build up your forces to fight and take on the many crabs that call the causeway their home.
The Beach Brawl Update added two new critters as well: the aforementioned crabs, based on the European shore crab, and sand lizards. Both of these new creatures, of course, have variations. Some savannah uber creatures got added too.
This update also included a UI overhaul. All the game menus were reworked and redesigned, the campaign mission launcher was made descending rather than ascending, new radial menus were added with controllers in mind, and more.
