Hello Contractors!
The 1.8.3 update is now live for ContractVille! Today, we’re excited to bring you the second phase of our optimization efforts, completing the remaining environmental and system improvements we’ve been working on behind the scenes.
⚙️ Performance & Optimization: Phase 2
We have successfully implemented the second wave of our planned performance improvements. The remaining sections of the game world have been fully optimized to ensure a much smoother, consistent, and stable contracting experience across the board.
Environment designs that caused performance drops—especially in the City area and across the game in general—have been completely overhauled. They now run much more efficiently and consistently.
We expect these overarching performance improvements to also positively impact loading screens, leading to noticeably shorter wait times.
We’d like to share a before-and-after comparison of the optimization update.
You can see the resulting FPS difference in the images below.
Both images were captured at 2K resolution on Epic settings with DLSS/DLAA disabled.
🛠️ Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue that prevented Marble tiles from being counted correctly towards mission progression.
Fixed an issue where the selected color for the TLO Mango vehicle was not represented correctly in the preview before purchase.
Fixed a localization-related issue in the Mission Needs menu. In some languages, clicking the Mission Needs button would not list the correct items due to language-based mismatches. This issue especially affected doors, windows, stairs and floor tiles.
🚀 Looking Ahead: Optimization & Visual Upgrades
Contractors, our work doesn't stop here. We will continue to prioritize optimizations and bug fixes to ensure the core gameplay is as seamless as possible. Once this optimization phase is complete, our next step will be a Visual Improvement Update. Stay tuned!
