Because we’ll be taking part in the Steam Spring Sale, we think today is a really good moment to bring some QoL changes to Call to Arms - Gates of Hell.
We have several changes lined up, and now it’s time for you to try them!
Of course, and as usual, we have set up an Open Beta for you. The Beta will become the live version when the Spring sale starts.
Highlights
‘Auto Vaulting’: Infantry can now jump over fences, low walls, and will do so automatically when following movement orders
'Manual Vaulting': While directly controlling a human, either in classic direct control or 3rd person, you can now use a keybind to jump over fences and small walls
In Conquest, operation size ‘unlimited’ has been removed. You can still go unlimited by selecting "next operation” at the end of a campaign in order to keep your assets, veterancy and research. This way, you avoid playing on the same handful of maps with increasing amounts of persistent damage.
These are just a few of the many changes and fixes in the new version. If you prefer more detail, check out the Change Log we released. The changelog also contains an important message for mod creators.

Opting in for the Open Beta
To join the beta, you only need to switch your game to the beta version. When the beta becomes the live version, you don’t need to do anything at all to reverse the process. If you do want to be among the first to try these changes, go to your Steam library, right-click on the game, select properties - Game Versions & Betas- open beta. Done! You can switch back to the current version at any time, using the same process.
Roadmap
We’re already in full swing to produce the next DLC, and you can expect to get more news this spring when we update our roadmap for 2026 and beyond. As soon as we have that sorted, we will share it with you.
